BaretaNews just received a notification that U.N. officials left Southern Cameroons. It should be noted that the U.N. Human Right Commission was on a mission to investigate the ongoing crisis in Southern Cameroons. Following a February 22nd 2017 publication by the Guardian Post Daily, U.N. investigators left with confidential documents. In response, Mark Bareta, interim Consortium leader writes:

“If we must remain united and continue boycotting schools and observing ghost towns then this is the moment. Victory is near. Share this message as wide as possible. People of Bamenda should show their force tomorrow. Those in Buea should do same by Friday. Restoration is the end goal. God is still saying something.”

Also, it is confirmed Governor Okalia of the South West Region turned down a request for audience from U.N. investigators after keeping officials waiting for over two hours. That was unfriendly of the Governor. Onlookers question whether the Governor has something to hide?

BaretaNews add its voice by saying that this will be a giant step in the Southern Cameroons struggle. Also, it will reveal the reality on the ground and may pave the way for a long-lasting solution.

Stay tuned with BaretaNews.

  1. God will make a way where there seems to be no way. The struggle continues. You can’t keep people in slavery forever.

  2. Congratulations to the Youths in Southern Cameroon for the courage to take on the system of oppression, that they have witness reduce their parents and them to second class citizens. That have witnessed a gradual deterioration of the Country’s educational system, infrastructure, and moral diminished. Congratulations for standing up for what you believe.

  3. It should be known that francophones do not know the history of Southern Cameroons.
The argument of why the strike should involve politics.
The Southern Cameroons leaders were all UNION LEADERS.

Foncha was the leader of the Catholic teachers` Syndicate and
Muna was the leader of the protestant teachers´syndicate.

Appart from that elswhere in the worid: Lech Valleser was an electrician in the Polish industrial union who lead polish into a democratic erra.
I hope francophones should learn more worl history and stop being myopic.

No one needs to be mannipulated to know that he is marginalised. The honnest francophones who know the truth just need to speak up. The truth never hides.

We like Cameroon that is why we want a good fúture for our Children and good lows and afair society for everyone including the francophones.. Joi the ranks of Lawyer Momo and Sam Backa in the anglophone cause to gain the victory.
