Sacrilegious Political GCE.
Today begins the political GCE over Southern Cameroons as well as in the neighbouring la Republique. While citizens of La Republique have had a full year, those in Southern Cameroons since November, 21st 2016 have been without school and effective preparation. The political regime in Yaoundé is bent on organising the exams over Southern Cameroons for the next two weeks to show strength as well as show might in acclaiming its lost authority over Southern Cameroons. It is fair to note the following:
1. Students have not been taught nor studied for the last eight months.
2. Only specialised centres have been made to take the political GCE exams.
3. Exams questions are stored in police and gendarmes stations
4. Students are made to write under strict military security
5. Unregistered candidates are allowed to write
6. More than 75 percent of Southern Cameroonian candidates never registered in Southern Cameroons.
7. Candidates are not allowed to write in their school, they are being transported to other specialised centres to write.
These seven points amongst others are what we call a political GCE different from what is currently happening in La Republique where students are writing freely, move around freely, they can discuss exams questions freely and psychologically they are prepared. This is different from those in Southern Cameroons and yet they all will be graded on both standards.
Make no mistake, we have no military powers to fight la Republique. We are a non violent movement. We have warned sufficiently on the dangers of taking such an exam and yes, La Republique is and will do all for such exams to take place to show might and in control but we know the truth: We have succeeded in beating them hands down such that the conditions in which the exams are going on are different from previous years. We have succeeded in making their dormant military go to work. We have held the entire academy year down. Based on those seven points, the exam is a waste and of course diplomas from such are useless and shall not be recognise except in la Republique.
It should be recalled that the two weeks period of the political GCE will be a hide and seek one in Southern Cameroons. While invisible groups have promised mayhem within the course of this exam, we of BaretaNews can only pray for the best within this two weeks of a forced political GCE over our land for our children to be safe.
Today is Mancho BIbixy Ghost Towns. Reports indicate that the ghost towns is 2000 percent effective in Bamenda which happens to be the home base of Mancho Bibixy. As usual other counties in Southern Cameroons are observing ghost towns as it has become a tradition. We cannot fail to mention that in Buea, taxis still defy ghost towns and most could be seen working. This has been the routine for some weeks now in Buea. Yes, Victoria ( Limbe) has since been captured away from the people of Southern Cameroons. In fact, in limbe it seems it is another La Republique city because ghost towns and life there is normal as in any other La Republique city on Mondays. We must make Limbe fall- All Liberation movements should take note.
While we must acknowledge that Ghost Towns has a bearing on our people and most especially on the Government and her activities, for over five months now, our people have succeeded in sustaining the ghost towns. BaretaNews understands the lost of enthusiasm with some of our people as they thought freedom will come now now now. However, we are happy because the spirit of the ghost towns still lives across Southern Cameroons. The struggle is on course and the leadership of SCACUF and AGC are working underground daily to take us to Buea. Like I have been saying, great news is ahead. We must keep the steam and continue to warn our people against the political GCE- this is our only weapon for the main time.
We shall of course within the course of the organisation of this political GCE bring forth all updates as it happens. We also got news this morning that GHS Wum, a GCE centre was razed by mysterious fire.
The struggle is alive. We continue to call for the unconditional release of our people and leaders in jail.
Stay tuned with BaretaNews

That’s wonderful Bareta.
Bareta you call it political GCE.were you not amongst the people who mixed politics with education? and now students are strugling to make something of their lives and u sit and write rubbish.,i wander what kind of man you are not everyone is a power hungry freak like you some parents suffer to build something for their children and you will call it a necessary price to pay because of your nasty ambitions. come to thing of it what have you achieved? what are you known for? when you were in Ub the only thing you were known for was organizing strikes and creating disorder..i ask you one question
you say certificates would not be recognized show me the official texts from an educational body that proves that..GCE would be recognized and those who will make it will have no problem moving forward and as for those in other classes its your fault that they missed the year start giving solutions and stop throwing blames
