A plank house with about ten rooms has gone up in flames around Solidarity Entrance in Molyko, Buea, this evening.

The fire continues to tear through the wooden structure despite a light drizzle in the area.

Meanwhile, residents have joined the occupants to salvage belongings and contain the flames.

They are also working to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

However, the cause of the blaze remains unknown at press time.

Further investigations will be needed to establish what triggered the fire.

For now, residents remain focused on containing the flames and reducing further losses.
