Dr. Fontem Neba Launches Appeal to Ambazonians as he Makes 3rd visit to Heroes in Kondengui
The Secretary General of the outlawed Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium (CACSC), and SG of SYNESS, UB, Dr. Fontem, A. Neba has made a public appeal to all people and institutions of good will to support Southern Cameroons revolutionary heroes languishing in LRC’s gulags in Yaoundé. In a statement after paying his third visit to his 8 months former home since his release, the Academic Don wrote:
“I always have peace when I do the will of God. That has been the case since December 2016 when I spoke on behalf of our people. Ever since my release, I have taken time in quiet recollection to go through the love and amazing unity and strength of purpose our people showered me with during those horrid months of detention in Kondengui Central and afterwards Kondengui Principal. There I met some very good people and understood why the people are hurting, in pains and are bitter.
Walking out of that hell hole knowing that many of these good people are still languishing behind has placed a burden on my heart. That is why, in spite of my difficult situation I have a very strong compulsion to give back some of the love and care that gave me strength and hope during those 8 dark months. Visiting these good people and sharing the little I have with them soothes and lightens the burden on my heart. I have done it thrice, but I wish I could do more. Today 15 November 2017, I visited the two prisons and thank God for the warm embrace and smiles and strengthen my humble visit brought.
On my own I cannot do it well or sustain their joy. But I trust that working with the same community that showed me love, I will remain a willing emissary to continue to take food to these brothers of ours. I appeal to those who have anything they wish to share: a bag of rice, a gallon of oil, a bunch of plantains, tin tomatoes, spaghetti, sardines, smoked fish, a packet of sugar, sachets of milk, a packet of maggi cube, etc – anything the spirit of God would touch you to give. Any church, association, group or individual. Our visits will be fortnightly (i.e every 2 weeks) and every donation will be properly acknowledged. God bless you. Fontem A. Neba, PhD”
