In a swift reaction to purported suspension of the ongoing Anglophones Lawyers strike which has now entered the 7th month, Common Law Lawyers have rejected the document both in spirit and content following a document signed by La Republique du Cameroun, Bar President, Kamga Ngnie Jackson in far away Douala suspending a strike he did not call.
However, in a swift rebuke to La Republique in line with the spirit of the struggle Common Law lawyers have rejected the press released suspending the strike and insisted that the strike will continue.They questioned government commitment to past promises and insisted the strike will continue.
In a separate released signed by Barrister Eyambe Elias Ebai, President of Meme Lawyers Association and Barrister Harmony Bobga, President of North West Lawyers Association, they all insisted Bar. Kamga lacks jurisdiction and the locus standi to called off a strike he did not initiate. They said the focus of the strike is now on the restoration of statehood. Here them:
”This is still the desperate attempts by the desperate regime in Yaounde to Common Law lawyers into going back to the courts. Some few desperate lawyers were gathered from the northwest and south-west and in a state-sponsored meeting held in Bamenda and Buea recommending the resumption of practice.The majority of lawyers are totally against this move.And I reject it outrightly. Eyambe, President of Meme Lawyers Association Said.
In the same spirit, Harmony Bobga president of North West Lawyers Association issued the following statement:’NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL COMMON LAW LAWYERS THAT IT IS NOT WITHIN THE COMPETENCE OF MR. KAMGA WHO IS NOT PART OF THE COMMON LAW BAR TO SPEAK FOR US. HE HAS ALL ALONG LENT HIS SUPPORT TO ANTI-COMMON LAW PHILOSOPHY AND ORGANIZATION. HE LACKS THE COMPETENCE TO COMMIT US. ON YOUR BEHALF I CONDEMN AND REJECT THE DIRTY GAME. WHOEVER AMONGST US IT PARTY TO THE DEAL IS FREE TO GO WITH THEIR CHOSE PARTNERS. WE STAND BY WHAT WE RESOLVED AND NO LESS. I SHALL GET BACK TO YOU ALL IN MORE DETAIL WITH OUR POSITION IN THE DAYS AHEAD.

Here him: Gentlemen of the common Law bar, I wish to appeal to your consciences. Let us not be fooled. Firstly the Batonnier does not have our mandate to call off a strike he never called in the first place. Secondly, the basis of calling off the strike cannot be hinged on the mere promises of the minister of justice. What has happened to the laptops promised the students by the President? What has happened to the 3 billion promised the education family by the President? Let no one fool us that the promises will come to fruition. Our colleagues are in jail some are on the run yet we are called to resume work. Why did we first go on strike? We have been like this for six months running. What is the justification for calling off the strike in the first place? If we commit the error of resuming work, we are doomed. The entire southern Cameroonian will never forgive lawyers for starting a struggle and betraying them midway. History will judge us. Let us resist and say NO to a Bar President who did not care about us in the first place.

I warned you about citizens of LRC (bassas, yaoundes, doualas, bamilekes which thanks to john ngu foncha, include people from dschang, hausas, bertouas, etc) posing as one of us and ripping benefits and promotions by betrayal that was supposed to be meant for us. And then they stand up to say I am the first Southern Cameroonian to be appointed this or that, even though theirs was a willful act by LRC government fool us by using them to further cut our progress. These are traitors and if their parents were buried in Ambazonia, it is because they either did not have money to ship the corpses to LRC or it is a desperate move at making them seem legit among us. FALSE! We know who you all are. Some of them with LRC mothers are hiding behind their Ambazonian fathers’ Southern Cameroon names to pose as one of us while championing a preference for Federation, which is totally off the table as far as we the true ethnic soil owners are concerned. No one with the name Kamga, Ngassa, Tchato, Nlend, Ondoa, Kameni, etc ever conquered or inherited any town or village in Southern Cameroons to call home or themselves one of us. Once more, you are warned!

As for me , I will say a true Southern Cameroonian will sort ways to see things change for our children and not for us again for we have been sacrified already by the aged old politicians of yesterday who pretended to be doing good which rather was evil and today we are suffering from the rotten fruits they did planted.
So now any nomenclature who think of calling off the strike without any necessary mesures from the right quaters is part of the lineage of those old aged politicians who planted the bad fruits we are reaping today . If we go into details our prognostic will be true that most of them are the progenitude of this poeple or having a bllod relation. A true Southern Cameroonian ,the way we are being treated will see that things are resolved in the right way not by pressure or those money tasty individuals who are easily bought to accept wrong idealogies !!!

Thanks for using just a few lines to educate Mr. Mafani about himself. I pledge to protect and defend my beloved country, Ambazonia and keep foreigners away and ready to fight and die for it. Foreigners from LRC have taken advantage of us enough and as a victim of LRC harassment and brutality myself, only God knows what I will do to them when war breaks out. Wait and see.
Don’t be fooled. Bamenda lawyers are working. A lawyer summoned me with a convocation last month. What are you people talking about. I will expose the chambers on here.

Actually, if Mr. Mafani is a true 100% ethnic Ambazonian, then, all his sins are forgiven. We will have a fresh start and love our brothers and sisters as our selves, as long as part of their family is not from LRC or they have LRC roots. As long as Mr. Mafani is a true descendant of the soil, it is his entitlement to belong and that comes with his right to free speech.
