He laid emphasis and collective effort to revamp the country’s economy. The occasion sets the stage to outline the plan of action by the government under his leadership. He used the opportunity to thank the military for their support and action which led to his ascension.
It was on Monday when the military withdrew their control of the capital Harare and back to the barracks.
The veteran politician who has been the deputy of the former president Robert Mugabe whom he succeeds, will need the few months of his presidency to convince his detractors if indeed he’s the right man for the job.
