My sincere advise to Chairman, in respect of all what he has done so far and recently : It is Malcolm X who declared this about the press:“If you’re not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” Malcolm X ” There is this whirlwind that is gathering around Mr. Chairman’s person for making “derogatory statements towards the leadership of the current “Anglophone Struggle (SCACUF). After standing at the line of fire to absorb some of the bullets, some of us feel we could share an open advise to our daddy, Chairman
“”” Daddy Chairman, stay off the mikes and cameras for now. We know what you are going through blending the two edges. We down here are already down and fear no fall. When we see stones being heaved at you as you are right at the top because any fall from up there can be so terrible. So, Daddy, this Androind generation is very delicate, worse than Biya’s thugs…as their commander-in-chief is their emotions stirred by utterances and statements that could be avoided and as Mother Teresa puts it:”We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature – trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence…
We need silence to be able to touch souls.” In fact, we who have grown in the struggle for Justice and Equal opportunity have learnt that “Silence is a source of great strength.” I am a good example of one who has been hurt not once not twice because I have not learnt the virtues of silence. Just this evening, I carried my big mouth to defend you on Ambumolive on SCTV and so attracted all the missles being heaved at you. I have some energy yet to contain these assaults, but Daddy Chairman, these missles will only infuriate you when you keep responding or reacting to them. I trust you when you state and I quote” For now, the SDF is for Federalism” Of course, in 1993 at the Ntabessi Presbyterian Church, the AAC2 made these same declarations, when Dr. Simon Munzu , reading the Bamenda Proclamation, shedding emotional tears, stated ” If LRC does not accept the Buea Peace Initiative for a return to 2 State Federation, we will be forced to accede to the Zero Option and of course, that is how in June 1996, after Owona went ahead and published his Constitution, Anglophone National Council was transformed into the Southern Cameroons National Conference with SCPC as its apex and you, Chairman were chosen amongst others as its Adviser and remain so till date. I know that as an Honorary Adviser, you won’t advise the current leadership of Comrade Sisiku Ayuk Julius Tabe to be responding to all, especially provocative questions.
I will, like my name entails, remain loyal to the principles of democracy, justice, peace and what is right as stated in the scriptures Philippians 4:8…Advise your children that we are…do not get worked up by our several attacks on your person. Gold fish has no hiding place, remember…and you are gold fish. I know that as a great disciple of Martin Luther King, Jr., you must be inspired by these his words:” In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. “….yet, in the present circumstance…Silence is a true friend who never betrays.
My sincere plea to all is pay less attention to what a person says. and look more at what a person does because what they do tells me who they really are. In judging someone, look at his deeds and not his words.
I know what we are going through, yet, some people will keep teasing you to say as you what they want to hear. Disappoint them and satisfy your people who know you very well. It is not today that they will want to hear you. We have heard you for over 27 years and counting and we just want to react as you command just like on December 8 2016 when we marched up to NW Governor’s office and the next week in Buea on your instructions. It was not talk talk and talk. It is walking the talk this time.
To those chastising Chairman: “In leadership, life and all things it’s far wiser to judge people by their deeds than their speech – their track record rather than their talk” – Rasheed So Daddy, let us do the talking…receive the insults while you do the thinking and guidance…and Glory will go to God Almighty whom you serve faithfully!!
Sincerely yours, Martin-Luther in Ndu, Donga Mantung County, with sincere love.
