Yaounde: President Biya, was born on the 13th February 1933 at Mvomeka’a (Meyomessala). He attended Lycee General Leclerc from 1954 to 1956. He has donated 312 digital tablets to his school Lycée General Leclerc in Yaounde. The Minister of Secondary Education (MINESEC) offered the digital tablets on Monday, 5th September 2016 on behalf of President Paul Biya while chairing the first day of the new academic year.

We are told that Jean Ernest Ngalle Bibehe, one of Mr Biya’s cabinet ministers stated that the tablets were part of a CPDM program to modernise the teaching of science and technology initiated in 2001following the creation of the Multimedia Resource Centres.

It is a common knowledge for ex-students to donate to their schools so Mr Paul Biya is no different, he can donate personally to his school. However, when the government Minister start delivering such with CPDM propaganda, it becomes a state issue. It requires us to start questioning the source of the income. Which budgets head were used? Which criteria were used to select the said school? Why not spread such largesse to other schools? Cameroun government is still to learn transparency and accountability and how to separate these things. It is thus evident that the money used to purchase those tablets is state money and not Biya’s.

God is still saying something.
