The US embassy in la Republique du Cameroun has lampooned the brutal murder of a wardress, calling for a prompt investigation into the issue. In a communique released recently, the embassy described the murder of a woman identified as Florence Ayafor as gruesome and horrific.

Florence Ayafor who was a wardress at the Bamenda central prison was reportedly abducted on her way from pinyin where she attended a funeral. The abductors later release a video in which the woman was tortured to death.

“We extend our deepest condolences to her surviving family,” the embassy stated in the release

“We urge the authorities to undertake a thorough and balanced investigation of this and other atrocities and bring the perpetrators to a fair and transparent trial,” the release further read in part.

The US embassy in Yaounde equally exhorted the worrying parties to engage in meaningful dialogue without any pre-fabricated agenda in other to put to rest the ongoing Ambazonian war of independence which is nearing its third year.

Since the convening of a so-called national dialogue by the long-time serving tyrannic president of French Cameroon, it’s military atrocities have doubled across Ambazonia.
