Asked by Le Messager Newspaper how I would resolve the Anglophone crisis if he were the president, I had this to say;

“First of all, it is important to diagnose fairly the rather harmful impact of this crisis. Even if the crisis from a geographical point of view is directly felt in the North-West and South-West, there are Cameroonians in all the other regions of the country who identify with the grievances posed by the nationals Of these two regions. Other compatriots sympathize because they are equally not happy with their living conditions even if the historical foundations differ from each other. In addition, it is necessary to take account of the brothers and sisters working outside the national territory, scattered around the world, who also express their disapproval of the management of this crisis, and are worried about how it’s dragging on. Everyone would like an equitable and lasting solution to be found, and as soon as possible.

So my approach would have been to proceed in five steps:

1) To re-establish political will and a commitment to dialogue on the part of those who up to now regard themselves outside the Republic, as well as those who have managed the country as if the country belonged to them alone;

(2) Unconditionally release all those imprisoned since the outbreak of the crisis, so as to lay the foundations for a return of confidence on both sides and for the acceptance of the legitimacy of the actions that the State would undertake thereafter;

3) To convene a forum for dialogue and consultation on all the demands and grievances put forward, with a view to seeking genuine political and lasting solutions to them;

(4) To extend this dialogue to exchanges on complaints from socio-economic or political sectors so that citizens as a whole can find themselves in these platforms which allow their proposals to be taken into account; And

5) Undertake missions to explain the results obtained from citizens at the grass-roots level to reassure the already traumatized populations regarding the roadmap for the future. Such an approach will retain the support of the vast majority of our fellow citizens and will restore confidence and lay the foundation for a consensual and enlightened conception of the future that we must forge for our country.

Our generation can not afford the errors of the elders, whose disastrous management of human relations and bad governance have pushed the country to such a difficult and delicate point. We must remember at all times that one of the fundamental principles of human actions is the inclination of man and woman to greater freedom and greater respect for their dignity.”

  1. Manchou should not speak for speaking is weakness before God the battle is in the spirit fasting and prayers and silence is better

  2. I will ask the question Bonese Mewanu asked, once again.

    ” How in the world has Biya survived 35 years as president of Cameroon if the Cameroonian people are not a bunch of nonentities? ”

    The answer lies in the people. Cameroonians are not weak, not afraid, not stupid or unable, but self hating just like all other African people. This is the legacy of enslavement, colonization and missionarization. Ahidjo and Biya profited from it. This is the only way they have manage to succeed to remain in power for so long. This is the only way European and other races have absolute power over Africans everywhere on this planet.

    If we truly Collectively love ourselves and our children, these evil people will not be in charge in Cameroon or anywhere in Africa.

    We (collectively) claim to be so holly, just as we talk to much but all that is just an illusion. When it come to tangible results, only the demonic and evil doer can show you with pride results and we the people are one of that result.

    What is preventing all Cameroonian (Africans) to get up one morning and refuse to do anything until Paul Biya and his demonic gangs leaves?

    The answer is the evil in us that we don’t want to face. it has absolutely nothing to do with us being scared.

    We Southern Cameroonian must really fight harder and resist all spell, ritual and very simple magic tricks they are using every hour in front of our face. They present it in form of word, images and actions everywhere. It so simple to the point that if some one tries to warn one, one will probably say they are crazy.

  3. Malis , please we will have to disagree on this one. The biggest problem in Africa has been the “house slaves” who have continuously been strategically placed to further the interest of Europeans. Look at our history and it will be unfortunate to trivialize the fights of people like Sekou Toure, Lumumba, Um Nyobe, Ernest Ouandji, Tumaza, Ebenezer Akwanga, Felix Moumie; Chis Hanis, Madiba, Oliver Tambo; Malcolm X, Muhammed Ali, Samora Machel and the list goes on and on.
    Someone must be subhuman to delude themselves that by allowing Europeans in the twenty first century to plunder the resources of Africa they are furthering the interest of Africans like Biya is doing. And worst of all to brutalize, rape and kill Africans and hope to do this with impunity is tantamount to insanity.
    I am sure you will agree that this level of primitivism is not shared by all Africans. Which explains why Southern Cameroonians are saying “Enough is Enough” as they have resolved that they will no longer be punching bags for the cpdm crime syndicate anymore.
