Enock Yvan Osée was arrested by gendarmes after allegedly fleeing following the death of his 19-year-old girlfriend
A 22-year-old man identified as Enock Yvan Osée, who had been wanted in connection with the death of his 19-year-old girlfriend in Yaoundé, has been arrested by gendarmes.
The young woman’s body was discovered several days ago in what was described as a makeshift grave, immediately placing suspicion on her boyfriend, who had fled.
His escape ended when gendarmes arrested him. According to the account, Enock allegedly confessed to killing his girlfriend at his home following a dispute over 50,000 FCFA she was demanding from him.
He kept her body inside the house for two days before disposing of it. As the body began to give off a strong odour, he allegedly dug a makeshift grave and buried her.
The arrest is expected to pave the way for further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the young woman’s death.
The allegations, including the reported confession, have not been independently verified. The suspect remains presumed innocent until proven guilty by a competent court.
