Voice of America Writes: Kumbo Denizens Running From Cameroun Military Not Separatists

Cameroon’s English-Speaking Areas Becoming Deserted

Towns and villages in Cameroon’s restive Anglophone regions are being deserted as battles rage between separatists and the country’s military. The fighting intensified after President Paul Biya’s New Year’s message in which he insisted that his military would neutralize separatists who refuse to lay down their arms.

A senior Cameroon military official, who did not wish to be named, warns in a report that visiting the mostly deserted northwestern town of Kumbo he will need military protection.

He says separatist fighters have been launching heavy attacks in the area and may be among the few people left on the streets.

On a ride through the streets of Kumbo, under military protection, it’s clear that most houses, markets and public places are abandoned while some homes and schools have been torched.

But Kumbo resident Mbiybe Tatah says that many locals are fleeing because they are afraid – not of separatists but of the military. They accuse Cameroon troops of burning their houses and shops in retaliation for failing to inform on separatist fighters hiding in their villages, he says.

Fellow Ambazonians while we work hard to made sure we do all in the New Year to be proactive we must make sure we expose this fraudster who goes by “my contri pipo”. This low life it will appear, has an ax to grind with the Amba boys. His continuous use of derogatory terms to castigate the Amba boys must be stopped.
Meanwhile, the IG must do all in its power to inform the fighters to make sure they do not make and post videos on the internet. Available information indicates that the criminal regime of LRC has been provided with better and sophisticated tracking devices. We owe it to ourselves to do all to provide information that is pertinent to our people so as to safeguard their lives from sadist’s in our midst like this clown who calls himself “my contri pipo” who will shamelessly sell our people for pennies. What is the more shocking is how some applaud his ignorance in mocking people who decide to display bravery in the face of overwhelming injustice.

Ah di salute you brother Mukong.

My way of managing trolls and detractors of this revolution the likes of “my contri pippo”, Janice Beyongsi (she changes names often), Atiku, WataNaWata_Odeshi_NoWork and an inexhaustible list of them is to simple IGNORE. Easier said than done, I know, but the more one responds to their written gibberish or listen to “my contri pippo” recordings the more they enjoy undeserved relevance.

This revolution has gone on, is ongoing and will go on till the finish line on the steps of The Prime Minister’s Lodge in Buea.

Thanks Brother Mbeuh and a special Happy New Year to you and your family.
Yes, I understand that when you dance with crazy people, it is just a matter of time and you be as crazy as them. Henceforth, they will be ignored as much as possible.
