Professor PLO Lumumba to AU Commission – Address Conflict in the Cameroons Now!

Firebrand Pan Africanist, a Public Speaker, legal luminary, Kenyan intellectual colossus, and Chairman of; The PLO Lumumba Foundation, Professor PLO Lumumba, has challenged the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Dr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, to as a matter of urgency sent an AU fact finding mission to arrest the deteriorating situation in the Cameroons.

The legal icon’s call is contained in an April 30, 2018 dated and signed diplomatic missive addressed to the Chair of the African Union Commission, titled; The Crisis in Cameroon and the Instability in other Parts of Africa. According to the learned Professor of Law,

“…as a condition precedent to the realization of the Agenda 2063, the ongoing conflicts in Africa must be resolved and the guns now ragging in South Sudan, Central African Republic, Somalia, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo and the Cameroons must be silenced”

Arguing specifically on the situation in Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia, the erudite Pan Africanist notes the AU Commission Chair that;

“Without prejudice to the forgoing, while the other aforementioned conflicts have received periodic intervention by the International Community, the ongoing conflict in the Cameroons has not received the attention it deserves. In the circumstances, I am appealing to you to sent a fact-finding mission to Cameroon to arrest the deteriorating situation”

“… I am appealing to you to prevail on upon African Heads of States and Governments to convene a special session to determine how to solve all forms of conflicts in Africa before they consume us” he added.

In concluding his letter, Proffessor Lumumba pointed out to Dr. Faki that; the noble promises of agenda 2063 will be a total failure, unless the armed conflicts in the continent are fully addressed to create a conducive atmosphere for the implementation of the agenda.

The reaction of Professor PLO Lumumba, behalf of his foundation, is coming after recently receiving firsthand information from erudite Ambazonians, who understand his influence in the Pan African scene and his contributions to the African justice system and the fight for a true politico-economic independent Africa.

The Professor recently hosted the former Ambazonian Interim Government Ambassador to the UN, Comrade Rene Mbuli and very recently, Dr. Barrister Nkongho Felix Agbor Balla, Pan African Human Rights Lawyer and former President of the Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium (CACSC).

These two Ambazonians, especially Barrister Agbor Balla who met Prof. Lumumba at the summit of the African Human and Peoples Rights in Mauritania, appeared to have schooled the Pan African Public Speaker, on the root causes of the Ambazonian revolutionary conflict, its legality and the present human rights situation on ground.

As observed from the Professor’s letter to the AU Commission Chair, he understands clearly that what is today known as Cameroon is made up of two separate independent nations. That is why he kept referring to the territory in his letter as the “Cameroons”.

While BaretaNews appreciate the sagacious legal mind and Pan Africanist for his kind gesture of diplomatic advocacy for Ambazonia, it is equally expedient to expressed thanks to Barrister Agbor Balla and Comrade Mbuli Rene, who made this happen. No diplomatic effort is small, so long as they are all geared towards promoting the freedom course.

The colonial state of La Republique can argue continuously for her certain one and indivisible CameroUn. The world knows the TRUTH and Ambazonians shall RESIST until the YOKE and CONSPIRACY of GLOBAL SILENCE is broken. The octogenarian Biya and his terrorist forces can burn all the houses in Ambazonia but that will not stop the freedom train from arriving Buea, the political destination of the Ambazonian revolutionary movement.
