La Republique du Cameroun (LRC) has never been the same ever since the US Ambassador,HE Peter Henry Barlerin, opened up to the world what he told dictator Paul Biya, with regards to the atrocities committed on the Federal Republic of Ambazonia.
Le Jeune Mbella Mbella, Interior Minister of LRC, was the latest streak of loyalists who have come out to lament over the utterances made by HE Peter Henry Barlerin. In a somewhat crying press release dated Wednesday May, 2018, Le Jeune Mbella, said the Ambassador overstepped his grounds, to release to the press, all those discussed with Paul Biya.
According to the LRC Minister, it was diplomatically incorrect for the US Ambassador to tell the world, he requested for Paul Biya to begin thinking of the legacy he will leave behind.
“Our President has been democratically elected all the time. His legacies are already visible for everyone to see. It is
needless for the US Ambassador to come to the press and speak as though the US wants to interfere with the democratic process of Cameroun,” Le Jeune Mbella told a local TV in Yaounde.
The Press Release that somewhat bullies at the US Ambassador, and by extension, the United States of America, could draw the attention of the world over unmasking the malicious activities taking place in Cameroun. Perhaps, this is the Achilles heel, needed by the US to point the geopolitical radar on LRC, and investigate deeply what the Biya regime is hiding.
There’s no gain saying that what the Ambassador Peter Henry Barlerin said was the undiluted truth. Such truth has always been blanketed been the LRC regime, with diplomats always playing the Pontus Pilate role, when commenting on atrocities in the country.
Hence, diplomatic clairvoyance can prophesy that the US will turn their radar to Cameroun and dig deep into the hidden truth and act accordingly. Paul Biya and his cohorts, may just have opened the pandora box for international community to clear the smoke screen portrayed over the years.

Mbella is right, the legacy of Biya is clear to see. He only fell short of mentioning them: corruption, electoral fraud, dictatorship, mafia ruled state, failled leadership, embezzlement… Only in Biya’s reign has cemroon been rated the most corrupt country in the world twice. Only in Biya’s reign has Cameroon been denigrated to a very poor and indebted country despite all the resources in Cameroon. Only in Biya’s reign have we seen systematic killings of the clergy and those who dare to speak out. Only in Cameroon and under Biya’s reign have an electoral system that decides for the people before they vote… Yes his legacy is clear to see and even the blind can feel and touch what Biya has been to the people of Cameroon.
Anyway before we get draged into this, we would ask the honorable minister to continue the legacy of Biya in their country – La republic du Cameroun as we have officially refused the illegal union which has been very detrimental to our people.

We conclude the latest move of LRC wasn’t smart. To withdraw an ambassador is in diplomatic circles a very high escalation level. For many years the US administration silently accepted and tolerated the attrocities and crimes against humanity of that illegal regime. The reason, the fight against Boko Haram. The harsh reaction of the Yaoundé crime syndicate towards the US is ill fated. The ambassador in his interview was quite balanced. He blamed not only the regime but also Ambazonian freedom fighters. The provogation which was calculated was the request for Biya to think about his own “legacy”. Concerning the two planes donated by the US government to the criminal regime of Biya I would like to quote our honarable Ayah Paul Abine “there is never a free lunch”.
The US ambassador is a very experienced guy and he knows very well what he is doing. All that moves are calculated and coordinated with his supervisors. During the last months there were several initiatives within the diplomatic corps in Yaoundé to push the regime to solve that problem. I would like to mention the comments of the EU representative concerning the upcoming elections. If someone like the US ambassador speaks out openly one have to understand how often they spoke in privacy with the dictator before.

There is a 5 minutes video making the rounds on WhatsApp in which one of Biya’s lackey is lashing out in frustration at Ambassador Peter Barlerin and thumping his nose at Trump and the United States. It’s in French and I wish and recommend you watch it.
My comment is that a person’s downfall can come from any angle, including something so innocuous albeit true as being told the word “legacy” in a speech or press conference. And because dictators are always insecure persons, they tend to react violently if and when their position of power is threatened. Such is the case with Biya and his underlings. Since Biya believes that power is his forever, there is little tolerance for a different viewpoint.
Unfortunately, as Ms Sullivant’s statement says, Cameroon government is intimidating the wrong person (Ambassador Barlerin), intimidating the wrong country ( the United States) who has as her president a temperamental individual in the person of one Donald J Trump. My own advice? Let Biya take Sullivant’s advice to heart and “solve the (anglophone) problem” Because it is in Biya’s interest. OR ELSE………………………..
