Where is General Ivo Desancio Yenwo?

It would appear that all seem not to be well with the long time cordial relationship between the Southern Cameroonian born military icon, General Ivo Desancio Yenwo and his boss, Paul Biya, the President of La Republique du Cameroon, if information available to the political desk of Baretanews is anything to go by. According to a trusted source, the famous General Ivo, may have silently defected from the Camerounese military and left the country to an unknown destination.

One of the French tabloids had last week in an exposure of front line leaders of the Southern Cameroons struggle, tried to differentiate between the Facebook General Ivo Tanku and the military General Ivo Yenwo (who are all Southern Cameroonians). The political desk of Baretanews gave a suspicious interpretation to that report, especially as there were no bases for such differentiation, if it is not from a guilty conscience trying to manipulate the public and coverup something suspicious or hidden information about the military General, Ivo. This is particularly suspicious as the newspaper report tried to make the public believe that the military General Ivo, is still the Director of the Presidential Guard, when of truth is technically false.

It should be noted that in December, 2016, our sources at Etoudi had hinted that President Paul Biya (out of increasing distrust for senior Anglophone military officials) had tighten his personal security by silently replacing the Nso born General, Ivo Desancio Yenwo, with a Beti born Lieutenant from his lead role at the department of presidential security.

Our source revealed that, despite his silent removal, the general was continuously seen as a threat to the system considering the volatile involvement of his immediate constituency of Bui in the Southern Cameroons struggle. Consequently, there were very high suspicions that he may not be in support of hash security measures against his people and out of anger for his silent removal may be involved in leaking military secrets to the Southern Cameroons public. On these bases amongst others, a plot to eliminate him was hatched by his colleagues.

No longer at the lead of Presidential security, General Ivo was drafted to lead a small contingent for an assignment in the Boko Haram stricken Far North Region of La Republique, with already finalized background plans to assassinate him and put the blame on Boko Haram marauders. While in the North, the young officers under his command are reported to have surrendered him before firing at him. Mysteriously and unfortunately for the young officers, the bullets did not penetrate his body. It is at that juncture that the military officers submitted to him all their rifles, and he (General Ivo) deleted all of them after questioning them on the origin of their action.

President Biya, Commander-in-chief of the arm forces

According to reports, the general has not been seen since the failed assassination incident, a situation that has left Yaoundé panic stricken, considering his deep military knowledge and his more than 35 years experience within the Presidential security. It is even suspected within La Republique military circles that the General may be involved in the training of Ambazonia forces abroad or is planning a conspiracy against the system with the backing of some foreign forces, our source noted. Baretanews has launched further investigation into this story and will break it to you as details unfold.

General Ivo Yenwo is famous for having saved the life of Paul Biya from the April, 1984 coup plotters, when he tactically escaped with him out of the Presidential Palace using an underground tunnel. He has been a very closed and trusted security aid to Paul Biya since then and had risen to the rank of General and appointed Director of Presidential Security. That trust appeared to have been lost with the outbreak of the Southern Cameroons Crisis.

Popular stories among Camerounese and Southern Cameroonians also hold that, he (the General) had been very instrumental in the spiritual fortification of the lion man, having made many nocturnal trips with him to the famous and most dreaded Oku Village in Bui County, Northern Region of Ambazonia.

Is the allege break in the long time cordial spiritual and physical relationship between the general and the Lion man the beginning of the end? Let’s cross our fingers as we monitor and investigate further the unfolding events.

  1. We should be careful how we handle information. Some thing are sensitive and should not be divulge in this medium thereby exposing things to our enemies that can but lives at risk. Biya is a french stooge but keeps is cards close to his chest thereby making his opponents to be constantly guessing.
Yesterday, it was SCACUF itemizing its finances in what I thought was reckless. If we are really serious in this struggle then we should stop being cheap. I pay my monthly levy and I keep the receipts. I am not sure why some of us want to know everything that SCACUF does. Grant it that they have made it possible against all odds for us to know how finances are handle, some are not satisfied.
Please do not get me wrong. I believe in transparencies. However, there is a time and place for everything. Certain things are sensitive and internet is not the forum to talk about them.

  2. Right it is not every secret of us Ambazonians that must be revealed on social media. But since contributions are being made by the public it is right that People should know how this money was spent. And if there was transparency then it is easy and natural to show the Accountability.Accountability should be made every 3 months
to The public so Can fainancing be Trusted, if People keep hearing all this bad management it is discouraging scapac must have it account where We Can be able to pay directly in it,with Credit card Postepay etc etc.same with scbc and SCACUF.

  3. personally I wouldn’t trust any Amazonian high ranking army person to sideline with this struggle as thy have pledge their life and loyalty to puppet biya and the slave master France, any who tries to be smart is eliminated,if his where about is not known, it is another lrc trick, he is being used by the regime to cause confusion within the struggle so he must be treated as the enemy, people must not be fooled that he is helping the revolution, no Southern Cameroonian in the military will easily join the people, they are all weak, slave minded, brainwashed men and women hiding behind their guns with no self opinions, do as they are told by their masters or death

  4. For any one to think that there is any such thing like a bullet will not penetrate you is just a joke. There is just no such magic. People stop believing in this rubbish so innocent people do not die for nothing. This struggle is serious.

  5. Mukong I agree with you 100%, I think transparency or accountability should be demonstrated by some other methods and not through open Internet.

I was shocked and ashamed of the Web Master of SCACUF website bragging and calling on SCAPAC to upload details of all its financial activities on SCACUF website for all to see. How reckless!!!

So Mr. Web Master, are you saying that when SCACUF, the GC and SCAPAC make decisions such as buying Mercenaries (just an example) or sponsor some kind of self defense back home, or pay for the conscription and training of a defense force in some country, or the sponsorship of the GC’s activities on some confidential Diplomatic trips, SCAPAC should present details backed by receipts on who is handling some kind of self defense on the ground, or who is training our defense forces and where, or details on the purchase of Mercenaries or details of disbursement on the idea that a confidential diplomatic mission has been made here and there? You must be a joke.

    1. @Ambe, Mukong and all Ambazonians: The best is SCACUF uses an external auditor such as Price Waterhouse Coopers or similar. There is no need to make financial statements public through internet. Especially not now during a crucial phase of our struggle. Apart from the video the web master and his team do a great good job. Thanks!

    2. Do not blame The Webmaster for responding in public. Blame Mr Tassang and Co. who falsely made accusations of embezzlement in public.

He has to defend himself against the forces of destruction that are in the struggle.

  6. George, you are so right, I wrote a long essay on this forum on how to run an organisation, and clearly explained that the thorny issue of finance be given to an outside body just as you said Price Waterhouse Cooper or another credible financial group. Every expenditure be autorised by a vote of Board of Directors. Cheques authorised by President, Financial Secretary and outside board Member for transparency.

    1. No government operates like that. The finance must be under the Governing Council. If cannot trust the Governing Council to manage finance, why trust them to led the struggle. It is an absurdity. Using an external board to approve every transaction places a veto on the activities of the Governing Council.

What you need is an annual audit. That is it.

  7. Why has this site not presented the butchering, and cooking of a human being by the secessionist, the beheading and playing of someone’s head like foot ball too.In brief ,what a shame even the Taliban or boko haram does not such things You people are trying to replace an imperfect government with vampires.clapp for yourselves.

  8. James

It was Ivo who, in the Bunker with President Biya, told him to take his Talkie-walkie and coordinate things with General Semengue and then then Minister of defence Andze Tsoungui. BIYA did that and safed his Presidency
