The United States Ambassador to La Republique Du Cameroun after meeting Mr. Biya, Cameroun President at the Unity Palace, has issued a press statement clarifying certain positions after several protest calls to his office. In the press statement released May, 17th 2018 at the embassy website, the Ambassador explained his meeting to Mr. Biya insisting that he has been giving the assurance that the war and military USA equipments donated to Cameroun will be used ONLY to fight Boko Haram and NOT be used elsewhere. The Ambassador also said he informed Cameroun President that both sides of the present conflict are not listening to each other and until they do, genuine dialogue can hardly take place. He enumerated examples of violence orchestrated from both sides of the conflict. It is fair for BaretaNews to note that this press statement which fully explained the United States position could not have been possible without the protest calls from Ambazonians. Worthy to remind Mr. Ambassador that the people of Southern Cameroons are only acting in self defense, La Republique has been the violent one from inception. Mr. Biya should be angry as the Ambassador used the word ‘Separatists’ refusing to use La Republique most loved word ‘terrorists’ in referring to our people fighting. Ambazonians are carefully monitoring the situation and should the USA military equipments be spotted in Ambazonia, we will hold Ambassador Barlerin responsible. Below is an excerpt of the press statement.
“In the area of security cooperation, I congratulated the President on our joint efforts to fight Boko Haram and the Islamic State in the Far North. I told him I appreciated the Minister Delegate for Defense’s assurances that U.S. equipment would only be used in the fight against Boko Haram and the Islamic State. I also stressed that U.S. law prevents us from training or working with units against whom credible allegations of gross violations of human rights have been lodged.
In this regard, I welcomed the recent press communiqué that there would be a full investigation of alleged torture of a prisoner by Cameroonian forces and that the guilty would be punished. A recent UNDP study found that 71 percent of those who said they had joined violent extremist organizations did so because of government action such as the murder of a close relative or friend.
On the situation in the Northwest and Southwest, the month of April has proven the bloodiest so things are not getting better. I discussed with the President our view that the two sides in the conflict are simply not listening to each other.
On the side of the government, there have been targeted killings, detentions without access to legal support, family, or the Red Cross, and burning and looting of villages. On the side of the separatists, there have been murders of gendarmes, kidnapping of government officials, and burning of schools. People on both sides of the conflict have engaged in speech that dehumanizes the opposite side.
We continue to call on both sides to stop the violence immediately. I asked the President to use his leadership to encourage both sides to listen to each other. One cannot have a dialogue until both sides are willing to listen to the other’s point of view.
Finally, the President and I discussed upcoming elections. I suggested to the President that he should be thinking about his legacy and how he wants to be remembered in the history books to be read by generations to come, and proposed that George Washington and Nelson Mandela were excellent models. I further praised the President for his efforts in maintaining a diversified economy that has been better able to withstand the challenges of commodity price swings than many others in the region…”

Diplomats speaks in tongues.
Who declared the war? You cannot fight the effects witout solving the root cause. For the last 57 years the sole aim of LRC was to annex our territory. It has reached a point that our people said enough is enough. The regime of Biya has no interest to solve that conflict. The Americans have to understand that.
SEE ME THIS DOG CALLS MARK LIER;

I AM FROM SW AND CAMEROONIAN …..
He said: “I also stressed that U.S. law prevents us from training or working with units against whom credible allegations of gross violations of human rights have been lodged”.
What is the current standing of Human rights in Cameroon. Lets leverage on this statement and filled his mails with historical gross violations of the human rights that the Government of la republic has committed.
Lets use all our friends, city of Lowell, human rights reports on Cameroon to let this ambassador see that he is actually dealing with a corrupt and bad leadership with dirty human rights records. Lets proof to him and I trust Bareta to do that with chronological violations of human rights against a peaceful people.
We recently saw people beaten to death by la republic soldiers – can that be done in US?
Why is the US giving a blind eye and pretending to say they are cooperating against Boko Haram? Whereas they are simply safeguarding their interest in exploiting the bakassi oil etc.
Who finances Boko Haram? why do Boko Haram exist? who created them? Do they have a historical and legitimate claim as the peaceful people of Ambazonia?
Why is the Ambassador not addressing the historical/legitimate standing of the issues for which as a major stakeholder in the UN they have the moral authority to defend?
Its true that in all this wranglings of politicians and diplomats, THEIR INTEREST STANDS TALL AND HIGHER THAN THE LIVES OF OTHERS. We can be killed, maimed, and these people won’t bother as long as their interest is not at risk.
Therefore, we must seek to put their interests at risk and make them become active part in resolving the root cause of the matter. We should be equally intelligent to do the bite and pamper game tactics.
Don’t wait to spot the air crafts because they would be used against us. that is why they have acquired them under the name of Boko Haram. Why didn’t they give it before this struggle? We should be able to read the games behind the scene of the trio ( France, la Republic, and USA) as they have common interest: exploit Ambazonia to their benefits.
Patriotic Southern Cameroonians in this revolution will never allow french Cameroon to rule over their country again,if the colonial outdated french regime dare to use those planes in Ambazonian air spaces, they will be shot down by the defense force, biya declared war instead of meaningful dialogue on vulnerable, peaceful defenseless people, time for any dialogue is over, moving forward SCs defense forces are well equipped and will continue to until french Cameroon get the message that they are not wanted or liked, lrc have been ruining SCs way of life, cultures, regions, establishments and exploiting their resources with cosmetic in their own regions, SCs will take back all their resources by force, develop SW/NW regions properly with maintenance, take care of their people’s welfare, proper jobs for the youths and workable people, entrepreneurship, factories, deficient electricity and water, good healthcare and roads, housing & infrastructure which has not been seen for 58 years, anyone who tries to stand in our way, biya, chiroma, Ekemas,Atanga Munas etc, will be crushed with their entire evil families, any dialogue with biya and his cronies will be get out of Southern Cameroons, hand all our resources back,no francophone will be allowed to gain a prominent position within SCs government because they are corrupt, bribe pushers, embezzlers, dishonest beggar thieves, unpatriotic, greedy people, any owed lands/ landlord francophones on our lands will be invalid, will be ceased from them, all bilingual educational establishments will be abolished, clear French language will be a optional subject for schools children, no french sign post in the entire SW/NW regions, all documents, dealings will be in the English language with translation for tourists who will be welcome, french Cameroonian/ francophones citizens will have to use proof of ID cards into and around any English speaking zones or they will be deported, jailed expelled, all those dictators men and women who have served with lrc in 58 years will be barred from entry, having any dealings in the federal Republic of Ambazonia
Diplomatic hogwash, I’d say.
In one recording of many telephone calls made to Mr. Ambassador and circulating in WhatsApp, he is heard saying he welcomes emails stating the concerns of Ambazonians regarding the ongoing conflict. Good grief! Inviting emails stating the reason for struggling to achieve freedom? The freedom (independence) which the United States of America voted for along with 63 others on that 21st day of April 1961. It is hard to believe that a seasoned diplomat of the foreign service with the U S State department possessing broad knowledge of world history and events would not know what Ambazonians are fighting for and would welcome being told so in emails.
The other day I watched a clip of the House of Commons in session wherein a House member and Theresa May exchanged concerns and proposed solution to the ongoing carnage in Southern Cameroons. The Honorable Prime Minister said in response that a call for genuine and inclusive dialogue should suffice to calm the situation. Her response bordered on helplessness. Spare me the feigned ignorance that Madam Prime Minister does not know that her Kingdom administered the Southern Cameroons from 1922 to 1961 under the trusteeship of the United Nations and that its was Britain who opposed our complete independence on the flimsy excuse of insolvency. That Britain has the leverage and responsibility to amend that error of holding back the third choice in 1961.
At the U N, a journalist and tireless advocate for Ambazonian independence, Mr. Matthew Lee of Inner City Press has repeatedly asked U N officials what is being done to alleviate the suffering of Southern Cameroonians amid the onslaught of Biya’s war machine. And answers were always, “we’re monitoring the situation”, we don’t have funds to do more”, the S G has called for inclusive dialogue”….blah, blah, blah. All this in the same building that still holds to this day the records in a filing cabinet of the 64 Yea votes for Southern Cameroons independence, 23 Nay and 10 Absentia.
I wonder how long before our case makes the media spotlight alongside current headlines and concerns of North Korean Nukes, Syrian civil war and the Palestinian struggle for statehood. I just wonder how long will world powers continue to look the other way as our people are being decimated? How long, world powers? How much longer…????????
Well spoken sir.

Go to the FB of US embassy Yaoundé.
Ambazonians do not relent for pressure works. The American Ambassador was forced to meet with this Beti thug because his office was inundated with criticisms. Our narrative must be heard loud and clear.
