The top prosecutor of Zimbabwe, Ray Goba, has been suspended for failing to bring forth charges against high-profile graft cases among other allegations. The announcement was made on Friday by the state media.

Goba, the prosecutor general is being accused of clandestine travels abroad defying explicit instructions from doing so. The Herald newspaper, a print outlet with government connections stated.

Zimbabwe’s National Prosecuting Authority has put a lid on the news concerning Goba’s suspension and is yet to issue an official statement.
