SCACUF – Southern Cameroons / Ambazonia Consortium United Front!
Inside: Election of an interim Prime Minister, PM.
While internet was ‘away’, many things happened. This write-up seeks to answer hundreds of recurrent private questions I have been receiving for days.
Gentlemen and ladies of the Southern Cameroons,
As far back as the 90s, we’ve had a proliferation of different groups clamouring for the restoration of the independence of the Southern Cameroons. Each group chose to work independently until recently. The occurrences in the Southern Cameroons since October 2016 instigated a sense of unity; consequently, SCACUF was born a month ago. It was a huge sigh of relief when we saw these movements merge in a federation.
SCACUF is a union of the following groups:
– The Southern Cameroons National Council, SCNC of late Chief AYAMBA Ette Otun currently chaired by Nfor Ngala Nfor;
– The Southern Cameroons People’s Organisation, SCAPO of late Dr. Kevin Ngwang Gumne currently led by Augustine NDANGAM;
– Ambazonia of Nfon Gorji NDINKA;
– The Southern Cameroons Youth League, SCYL of Dr. Ebenezer D. M. Akwanga;
– The Ambazonia Governing Council, AGC of Dr. Ayaba Cho Lucas;
– The Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium of Barister AGBOR NKONGHO Felix Bala [The Consortium was represented by Barister EYAMBE Elias Ebai and Tassang Wilfred. I hear Barister Agbor Nkongho Felix is not in approval, however];
– Movement for the Restoration of Independence of the Southern Cameroons, MoRISC of Kometa Elvis and BOH Herbert.
After the creation of SCACUF, two other groups sprung up. These groups felt that active ground work such as making our entire territory ungovernable was the swiftest way to force Biya to release our leaders. They are the Vipers and the Eyumojock Self-Defence Force of Dr. Nkongho. The actions of these groups on the ground have sent La Republique panicking.
At surface level, SCACUF is a great intitiative. They MUST shun any conclave-type decision on our behalf. We want things done transparently especially the electronic election of a PM. BBC does election of the Best Player of the year online. Estonia recently conducted parliamentary elections online. We are in the 21st century; our Silicon mountain guys can produce us a safe and secured method of voting online.

From a federalist to an ‘independentist’. the Southern Cameroons MUST be free.

Yes you are right, it must be transparent.
But please, for now no internet or electronic election, It will bring more problem that we don’t need.
Technology is good but we must limit our dependency on it. Electronic system for electing are the most effective way of stealing an election.
Computers are entities that can be programmed to live multiple tangential internal secret life without revealing these, not even to their own selves.
The result can be published on the internet but the actual act of voting must be done manually somehow.
The election of an interim Prime Minister is an ideal that any well meaning SCian supports. But now is not the time to be focused on such ideals because we are severely limited at the moment. For those back home, the colonial thugs from LRC will certainly not play along and allow SC citizens to take part in an election using traditional polling locations. For elections over the internet, where is the registered electorate (either at home or in the diaspora) that will participate. Without a registered electorate and a secure method of verifying who is casting a vote, any such election will surely be meaningless. The reality is that our focus now should be in building the right structures which will enable us in the not to distant future to be able to conduct such an election. For example, SCACUF today launched its website https://scacuf.org where SC citizens can self register. No reason why this cannot be used as the basis for an electorate in the future. Building these structures is where our focus should be in the short term and rushing to “elect” a PM that will not be any more legitimate that the current leadership of SCACUF, which is already in place and functioning very well.
Agreed. Let’s stay focused on issues that matter and engage on those that yield meaningful results. Now is apparently not the time to conduct any meaningful elections. I suggest the current movers and shakers of SCACUF elect one person among themselves as interim chair person of the unified front to lead until such time that real and meaningful elections are held.
Alternatively, all the unified group leaders can meet occasionally to make decisions for and on behalf of the movement based on a simple majority.

Addendum:
At the end of each meeting, the interim chair should lead the team until the next meeting when another interim chair person is elected. Members of this inerim team should all agree on the frequency of the meeting and leadership must rotate.

I see SCACUF as an Advocacy group which is a federation of different groups. Given the current situation I would support the election of a transitional PM voted by representatives of each of the various groups that came together to form SCACUF. Just as Moses was given the task to take the Israelis out of Egypt, we can find someone to be our Moses.
I believe the voting of a PM is important to upgrade the tempo of the struggle, especially as south Cameroonians have to stop collaborating with LRC in many different ways. By having an alternative or competing government in place and being more active on the ground, the people will stop listening to instructions from Yaounde.
If Yaounde sees more competition from another governing body they could be forced to compromise and call for dialogue. The government that can win the minds of the people is more powerful than the one with guns and bullets.

All the various groups under SCACUF should sit together in good faith, be the mouth piece of all Southern Cameroonians-Ambazonians at home and in the Diaspora by choosing a suitable, trusting, loyal, dedicated PM who we can be trusted to be able to push our struggle and put our case in front of the international communities, someone who is confident, dedicated to the two regions, it’s people, this PM must not be frightened by LRC threats since they are more experience in the mafia, terrorist business, someone who the people can listen to and put measures in place to replace all LRC in our regions,this PM must put and end to the evil BRIBERY,CORRUPTION, EMBEZZLEMENT in the two regions which has held down development, balloting online is unnecessary, the regions are still under LRC, bribery, corruption, intimidation and poor electricity supply, will disrupt the winning struggle, divide the people, confusion the poor and vulnerable people and give LRC opportunity to mingle with people and poison their stand,ordinary SC people should be sleeping partners while SCACUF the spokes,,most of this struggle supporters do not know any of the activist in person, we are all Ambazonians fighting to liberate ourselves, gain our independence away from
the dictatorship, oppression, marginalisation, poverty,unemployment from a wicked LRC regime, supported by some of our weak, selfish, greedy peers
