Nigeria’s incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari is back home after a prolonged medical leave in the United Kingdom. This report was broadcasted via the State Television on Friday. The President recently extended his medical leave, which raised suspicions from onlookers that his health was far worse than officials admit.

It should be reiterated that Muhammadu Buhari was elected to power in May 2015, he left the Capital city Abuja on January 19th, 2017 for treatment in the United Kingdom. It is said, Buhari had originally planned to stay ten days but stayed longer to rest after consulting his doctors.

Following government concerns of Buhari’s absence and based on the fact that an acting representative was needed at the helm of Africa’s biggest economy and most populous country, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo was given full powers as acting president during Buhari’s leave.
