Barrister Emmanuel Ashu Agbor, a Senior Barrister-at-Law practicing in Douala, Cameroun, has stated empirically clear that no amount of Machiavelli tactics from the government of La Republique du Cameroun (LRC), can surpass laid down legal extradition procedures, in the wake of the arrest of Ambazonian leaders in Nigeria.

Speaking exclusively to BaretaNews, the senior Common Law lawyer indicated that LRC cannot implore its thieving mechanisms in effecting an extradition right. He outlined all legal prints related to extradition before concluding that LRC would never succeed to execute their malicious intentions.

“It’s a wild goose chase for the government of Cameroun to ever dream of effecting extradition of President AyukTabe and his collaborators. Let me explain using the Common law book used effectively in the Nigerian judiciary system, and by extension, Cameroun (since Cameroun borrowed the common law book to form the Criminal Procedure Code). If we go by the dictates of Section 643 of the Common Law book, it states, Felonies and Misdemeanours directed against the constitution, the sovereignty of the state and public authorities, shall be considered as political offences, for which extradition shall not be granted. So, you see! That’s exactly the allegation of LRC government. Again, Section 642 of the same Common Law book states that, Felonies and Misdemeanours which are not directed to any kind of government shall be considered as common law offenses, and may justify extradition. Here, we have an entire (Ambazonian) government has been arrested and being kept in detention. So, you see, it’s a failed case for the government of LRC,” Barrister Ashu Agbor told BaretaNews.

Barrister Emmanuel Ashu Agbor indicated that the supposed warrant of arrest allegedly issued by LRC through the International Police Organisation (INTERPOL) is null and void when it comes to Nigeria. According to him, LRC cannot wake up overnight and sign an extradition treaty with Nigeria.

“Even that were to happen (from the clouds), the Nigerian government is still bound by the law to permit the Nigerian supreme court give a fair trial to the arrested, and eventually come out with extradition as the last judgement. Whereas, the alleged will still be granted their rights to attorneys. Unfortunately, that will be the worse case scenario, because as far as I am concerned and convinced, that can never happen,” Barrister Emmanuel Ashu Agbor added.

It should be recalled that the Interim President of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia, Sisiku Ayuk Tabe Julius, alongside nine members of the Interim Government were abducted at the Nera Hotel, Abuja Nigeria, Friday January 5 2017.

The Nigerian government confirmed, Monday January 8 2017, that the Department of State service (DSS), also known as State Security Service (SSS), carried out the arrest.

“They were picked up yesterday (Friday) by the SSS. They (SSS) came with guns and armmunitions to the hotel when they took them away. They arrived for a meeting of the high command of the leadership of the Ambazonia republic scheduled to hold at the hotel,” a source told the Nigerian Premium Times.

According to the BBC, Nigeria is accusing the Ambazonian Leaders for holding illegal meetings against the government of Cameroun.

  1. Barrister Ashu Agbor is right, although we must be aware that, news is spreading that France has got involved and wants them extradite to Cameroon,we must never let this happen as France is always behaving like a colonial master in the 21st century therefore all the SCs Law making people must fight tooth and nail to make sure France doesn’t succeed,France must be warned that slavery died long time ago, they might still be dictating to some African leaders but not all, it’s about time SCs to social media, twitter and attack France for interference.

  2. It is already a success for us, for the main aim of France, the colonial powers and multinational was to psychologically weaken us but it failed.

This is the reality of the situation and it’s very simple.

If they are release we win, if they are held we win. There is no other way our. All what France, LRC and all the other are doing are just a waste of their time. The only way for them to win is kill all Ambazonians or at least imprison all Ambazonians. This they practically can not, that is why they are targeting only our minds.

Their rational is that if they imprison all our leaders, we Ambazonians will feel ashamed, weak and defeated (the mind) and such give up.

They don’t have an idea of our thought processes and how resolve we are.

The actions Nigeria was force to carry our is only adding more fuel. No revolution has ever been stopped by arresting it’s leaders, our revolution is no different. Once a people has overcome fear, nothing done to them matters anymore.

We Ambazonians have long gone pass fear. If something was to break our back then only the 1st of October 2017 (= 10) but that did not even scare us. It just a matter of time now, we don’t even need to do much, time will bring the victory all by it self, we have already done the heavy lifting for psychologically, there is no turning back.

Once the mind is turn around, there is no other way out.
