MAKE NO MISTAKE! We shall Not Fold Our Hands & Continue TO Watch Our Rights Being Trampled Upon – Hon. Joseph Wirba

Honourable Joseph Wirba, has trumpeted a mobilising call for the people of Southern Cameroons to unite and fight against the attacks of Ambazonians, irrespective of where it occurs.

In a Press Release dated Tuesday January 9 2017, the brave son of Nso, Northern Zone, cum SDF Member of Parliament serving in LRC, strongly condemned the abduction of Ambazonian Leaders in Nigeria.

“The abduction of Comrade Sisiku AyukTabe, and 9 others at a hotel in Abuja, Nigeria by (Un)known gunmen on the 5th of January 201, and who have been held incommunicado for 4 days now and without any official statement from either the Nigerian or Camerounese governments, is unacceptable, and yet another bitter pill for the people of Southern Cameroons to swallow. We should as a people, come together as one man to fight these systematic attacks on our people irrespective of where we stand………MAKE NO MISTAKE! We shall not fold our hands and continue to watch our rights being trampled upon,” Hon Wirba wrote.

After concerting with his sources, Hon Wirba said “Comrade Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and 9 others were in a closed-door meeting to discuss ways of handling the influx of Southern Cameroons refugees into Nigeria, fleeing Camerounese military brutality. The refugees from my findings live in very deplorable and inhumane condition and that becomes a huge problem especially to the women, some of whom, are pregnant and to the young children. The Modus operandi of the abductors is not new to many who have for many years fought to restore the dignity of the helpless people of Southern Cameroons.”

While strongly condemning their arrests, Hon. Wirba Joseph, called for the immediate and unconditional release of the Ambazonian leaders.

“I therefore strongly condemn these abductions and urge the Nigerian and Cameroonian Governments to make their positions known for the world to see. I also join the many voices in calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Comrade Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and the 9 others. May I remind both the Nigerian and Camerounese governments that they will be held responsible if anything happens to our fellow compatriots,” he said.

It should be recalled that the Interim President of the Federal Republic of Ambazonia, Sisiku Ayuk Tabe Julius, alongside nine members of the Interim Government were abducted at the Nera Hotel, Abuja Nigeria, Friday January 5 2017.

New developments say the Department of State service (DSS), also known as State Security Service (SSS), carried out the arrest.
