Ashu Kingsley, Southern Cameroons Activist from Manyu County is reporting that Barrister Agbor Bala And Dr. Fontem Neba may be released Today. This comes a result of the habeas corpus filed at the court by their lawyers which means legally it has to be heard at the Mfoundi High Court. Recalled that normally their military court trial was supposed to hold on August 31st in the military court as pressure mounts on La Republique to release all Southern Cameroons unconditionally. However, be it as it may, we of BaretaNews are of the opinion that while the release of the duo will be a step in the right direction and largely only in the interest of the regime saving its face, any release that falls short of all abducted saying bye bye to the four walls of the jails in Buea, SED and Kondenqui will only intensify the people’s resolved rather than calm tempers. It is All For One Principle.

It should be recalled that they have now been in detention for 223 days. Balla and Fontem personally are not in Court. They have been represented by their lawyers. Some court officials murmured that there was no security or car to accompanied them. However, any release today may be for sinister reasons including but not limited to force the resumption of schools , kill the winning struggle and deceived the international community ahead of the 2017 UN General Assembly ! One will wonder why individuals held under Military courts procedures had suddenly be move to a civilian court. If the regime released them we shall welcome them and the struggle will continue until Southern Cameroons Independence is restored.

Ashu says he has received confirmed report that they could be released today for the sole reasons to force the resumption of Schools and deceived the international community that the Anglophone crisis is over, as such If Habeas Corpus is justly accepted under a NO case procedure submitted by the defense council, Balla and Fontem will be released after spending 223 days.
