The Struggle for the Restoration of the Independence: What are Southern Cameroons Prophets Saying? (A Must Read)

In a serious revolution like the current struggle which is anchored on TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND GOOD CONSCIENCE, nobody is supposed to be silent or neutral. Its either you are for the truth or you are against it. Being silent in the face of glaring INJUSTICE is interpreted as having sided with the enemy or even worse than the enemy. For those of us who are Christians, if you claim to be on the same side with GOD, then you should be able to tell us the will of GOD concerning this fight because, He (GOD) also can never be neutral. His Will is either for the struggle or against it.
From the beginning of this struggle, we have seen the Vice Chair of the Governing Council Deacon Tassang Wilfred maintained that, the struggle is not physical but spiritual. According to him, it is not a fight to be worn with Ak. 47 rifles, but it shall be worn through spiritual warfare. Like a convicted servant of GOD, Tassang believes more in a spiritual roadmap for liberation of Southern Cameroons, than a physical roadmap and is fondly referred to by some Southern Cameroonians, as the spiritual leader of the revolution; after all, it is the spiritual that controls the physical and not the other way round.

In biblical times, Prophets were seen to be significant contributors to nation building, by providing kings with necessary pieces of advice on the Will of God in particular decisions especially relating to going for wars with enemy nations. In the present situation in the Southern Cameroons, the question is, what are the Prophets saying about this struggle?

Even before the start of this revolution, a headline in one of the local English tabloids, The Times Journal was boldly written as; “Prophet T.B Joshua Predicts Southern Cameroons Independence.” In the report, the writer recounted how four mercy seeking Journalist visited the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos Nigeria, and decided to use the opportunity of their one-on-one encounter with the Prophet to ask him where the Cameroons was heading to under Paul Biya. The Prophet is said to have predicted victory for the Separatist Movement, SCNC in the near future, and warned that though victory is assured, Southern Cameroonians must avoid an armed struggle in order not to give LRC the chance to commit genocide on the innocent masses. When further asked what could be done to save the Cameroons from going their separate ways, the Prophet is reported to have said that; the only thing that could stop it is Prayer and Dialogue that would lead to the respect of history where some citizens will not be feeling marginalized in the Country.

Though many Southern Cameroonians were skeptical about the authenticity of that report, this story was recently corroborated by the Vice Chairman of the Southern Cameroons Ambazonia Governing Council, Deacon Tassang Wilfred, when he authoritatively declared on SCBC in a message to the Southern Cameroons Church that, the S.D.F Chairman Ni John Fru Ndi is privilege to have received a Prophetic Script of the present struggle since 2015 when he was personally invited to Lagos by the Prophet T B Joshua, and briefed on the Will of God for Southern Cameroons for Southern Cameroons to be free, starting 2017. The Question now is, What were the instructions given to Fru Ndi to either facilitate a peaceful separation or dialogue for “history to be respected”? This is a report for another day.

Our concern in this analysis however, are the Southern Cameroons Prophets, some of who were very vocal on national issues before this revolution, but have suddenly gone mute at this tense moment either as a sign of wisdom to manage the relationship with their followers who come from both sides of the political divide or as a sign of fear of being arrested. Nevertheless, in our investigation to know what some of the consistent faces in the prophetic Ministry in the Cameroons have been saying concerning the struggle, we stumbled on some videos reportedly released by the Ark of God TV of Apostle John Chi, based in Buea; KingShip TV of Prophet Frank Afanwi, based in Bonaberi Douala; Divine. TV of Prophet Ticha based in Yaounde and Transfiguration TV of Prophet Kelvin, based in Kumba. These men have all made Prophetic utterances that favour the struggle, but the issue with their utterances is that some are vague statements, while others veiled in parables.

For instance, Prophet Frank of Kingship TV at the beginning of the year 2017 declared to his congregants that, 2017 is a “Transitional Year” for Cameroon. Whatever he meant by a transitional year, is for him to further explain because the statement could be interpreted from different interest backgrounds. Prophet Ticha on his part is reported to have declared to the Cameroon government since 2015 and repeated in 2016 that, the problem of Cameroon was not BOKO HARAM, BUT THE PROBLEM OF CAMEROON WAS 2017. He went further to say that the destiny of Cameroon shall be decided in 2017. He called on his congregants to pray for the President and his government because, they were going to be so confused that they would be trying to seek for solutions through occultism; but unfortunately for them, only GOD has the solution to 2017. He further stated that in his vision, he saw a round table with people sited to decide the destiny of Cameroon and the decision taken on that round table was not good as it set the nation in confusion. He concluded that if only the leaders of the country can listen to the voice of GOD and arrest 2017, then they would have achieved another 20years of peace. It is important to note that the above two prophets are operating across the Mungo.

In Kumba, Prophet Kelvin of the Transfiguration TV declared at the early stage of the struggle in January that; GOD has heard the cries of Anglophones and is backing the leaders of the Consortium. He however cautioned the leaders to warn overzealous followers around them who were planning to burn schools and shared blood because it would land the leaders into trouble with government. He concluded that the struggle was GOD’s fight and what is about to happen in the Cameroons is going to be the first of its kind in Africa without bloodshed, as it has never happened before without a war. He also warned the people to avoid shedding innocent blood in order not to anger GOD to abandon the struggle. The question therefore is, what is it that is going to happen as first of its kind in Africa without war? Only him can answer this question.

Recently, that’s the Sunday before the cosmetic presidential instructions to release Barrister Bala, Dr. Fontem, Justice Ayah and some others, the Prophet stated on live service that; in the present situation, what could avert a bloodbath is for the two sides to shift grounds – that is, the government should release all arrested as a result of this struggle, while the revolutionary leaders allow schools to open for dialogue to then continue. He concluded that it is not by force to govern a people and that God has already heard the cry of the people and will severely deal with all those who because of greed want to sacrifice the blood of the innocent. So the question now is, Since not all have been released and the schools are still about 90% shut down in Southern Cameroons, is the bloodbath still feasible in the realm of the spirit? Only him can answer this question.

In Buea, Apostle John Chi of the Ark of God.TV had told his followers since 2014 and at the early stage of the struggle (December, 2016) that, the Government of Cameroon and the people of Cameroon need to return to GOD and ask for His Mercies and Favour, IF they want God to heal the land and prevent an impending bloodshed. He stated that the word “If” means that the government and the people can either choose to obey the voice of God or not to obey. He added that, a copy of what he was telling the congregation had already been sent to the Presidency of the Republic, on the day he had his first crusade at the Sport complex in Yaoundé in 2014. He continued by saying that “what you are seeing now, you have not seen anything…something is cooking and will soon explode…you use to say peace, peace, peace. You’ll soon see what will happen…Write it down, write down todays date” He concluded by saying that his statements are pregnant.

On the eve of the year 2017, after declaring the New Year as the year of Testimony, the Man of God made a vague statement by calling on the people to prepare for a Revolution. The question now is, where are we now at this stage of the struggle? Has the leaders of Cameroon and the people turn to God? What if just some people have listen to the voice of God and the majority have still not turned to God? Only the Apostle can answer these questions.

It is true that in Christendom, God has called some to be teachers, others to be pastors, evangelists, some to be Prophets and others to be Apostles; all performing different assignments with the sole purpose of reconciling his kingdom back to him. Consequently, for those who believe in the Prophetic Ministry, the above utterances are just some of the prophetic statements from some Southern Cameroons Prophets. Though most of their statements are coded or veiled and understandably so, it is however clear from the events of the last ten months and still counting that the predictions have been generally correct and if we still want to go by them, then more still lies ahead of us. Whatever be the case, none of these men have been identified as having spoken in disapproval of the struggle. Its either they are speaking in coded language or they are completely silent. It is therefore a GOD ordained struggle and we are confident as Christian Faithfuls that no man, born of a woman can obstruct the move of GOD over the Southern Cameroons. Southern Cameroons shall be free.
