Truth be told, I pity President Paul Biya. Even though he shares much of the blame for the escalation of the Anglophone crisis, which now appears intractable, he has all along been depending on information about Anglophones from the so-called Anglophone elite, who, like the true mendicants they have proved to be, occupy the reserve rungs amongst the Knights of the Round-table.
These spurious elite have refused to give their hero a true picture of the despicable mire in which the majority of Anglophones are writhing. And this has been understandable: animated by uncanny greed and addictive malevolence, they have sought, over the years, to reserve all the crumbs falling off from the high table for their sickly and bloated tummies.
They have told their mentor, fickly, that “their people” are hale and hearty, and that even if they are not, they (the pseudo elite) always have the magic wand to actuate them to thrive and joy in their pain.
The paupers who call themselves Anglophone elite are not alone in cooking up this chicane of an agenda for the President. The Francophone elite – their masters – who surround Biya as well, also provide ingredients to increase the flavour of the deceptive broth. Their case even seems to be worse because they, like their predecessors, have always seen Anglophones in the light of rancour brewers.
All of which has only helped to frustrate President Biya who is now seeing quite a different picture dangling before his eyes. An ugly, invidious picture, so to speak. The people whom his acolytes had claimed could sleep noiselessly for years on end are now unleashing thunderous snores which doubtlessly rattle the President, disturbing his own sleep!
Thus, in his insomnia, Biya is alone, all alone! He can’t really trust any of these rapacious liars around him anymore!
It is high time the President gave profound thought to the current imbroglio and made landmark decisions that would satisfy the two peoples who make up our present Republic. It also behoves President Biya to give no second thought to discarding all those veneered hoodlums, Anglophones and Francophones alike, who have misled him on the situation of Anglophones in Cameroon. Otherwise, the arrow that has just left the bow may end up piercing even the President himself.

Don’t put excuses for a 35 years failed dictatorship. Any man that is capable of killing his own wife as well as the boyfriend of his second wife is a devil from the pit of hell and des not care what his subjects say, feel or do. This man Biya is sof worst things like Lake Nyos obliteration, genital harvesting and making clergymen disappear. Evil must return to hell.
Paul Biya does not deserve any such thing as pity. This is a psychopath who from the very beginning had designed a well carved out plan on how to be nacistic.He barely used his evil ways to shape, twist and bend those he surrounded himself with to move on with him according to his whims and capricis.But the least he could imagine was that he could never be more powerful than the creator. His is a glaring example that you can fool half of the people half of the time , but not all of the people all of the time. This is the time for him to leak his own wounds.
Sister I guess the author meant it ironically. None of us has any feelings for the ruthless dictator Biya. He will go directly to hell. No pope visit will help him anymore.
He dose not deserve any pity at all and the same goes to the nation of LRC.
This was even nice, it could have been worst. Everyone has tried to help Biya, its terrorist gangs and tribes men but they somehow think they are smart. What did he really expect? There come a point where no amount of money, no amount of gifts given away changes things.
Never ever in the history of African, has the dark, demonic, evil side of an African country been exposed to the whole world like that of LRC and this exactly, is what I don’t understand. In the 21 century with all the social media, are they not seeing how they are been exposed?, no lawyer can defend Biya or the government of LRC.
He manipulated the Pope, some nations, some ignorant poor hungry poverty-mentality Southern Cameroonians but he could not manipulate the whole world.
It is not just Biya but also all those who have been supporting him, misguiding him, telling his lies and taking money.

No ,no no. This Biya is just plain evil. Anyone who even thinks that This Beti thug is not aware of the evil emanating from Etouti and directed against the hard working people of Southern Cameroon is making an inexcusable mistake.

Biya knows better than any single Cameroonian does the conspiracy to assimilate West Cameroonians. He has every operative to know the truth if he wants. But he knows the truth and was pursuing their plan d’adoption of West Cameroonians as mentored by France, either by peace or force or tricks or all of the above.Unfortunately for him, broad daylight caught him in the middle of the night!
