The colonial honourable member of parliament for the Bafut/Tubah Constituency, Fusi Naamukong has chided the military of French Cameroon for raiding the Bafut Fon’s palace.

In a letter addressed recently to dictator Paul Biya of la Republique du Cameroun, the Social Democratic Front (SDF) member of parliament, reviled that the brutal colonial military on Tuesday, September 24 invaded the palace destroying valuable materials. “The invasion saw the military shattering eight queen mother’s houses, looting properties, shattering three ancestral shrines, shattering two doors of the palace museum, and carrying away artifacts,” the letter read in part.

While expressing disdain over the LRC military raid, Hon. Naamukong called on the 86year old President of French Cameroon to investigate and punish the perpetrators of the act.

As BN had earlier reported, Tuesday’s invasion saw the shooting of a prince and a palace guard. Meantime, the whereabouts of his Royal Highness Abumbi ll is still unknown five days after the forces of occupation stumped his palace.

Sources say the Bafut Fondom was attacked because it’s Paramount ruler failed to show up in a window dressing meeting organized by Territorial Administration’s slave minister, Paul Atanga Nji in view of the upcoming so-called National Dialogue.

“Since the call for dialogue by the President, many villages in Bafut subdivision have been attacked by the military with many houses destroyed and properties looted including the killings of many innocent civilians,” Hon. Naamukong revealed.
