1400 workers have been programmed to be recruited to help in the construction of Bini Dam in Warak, Northern Cameroon. Out of this 1400 workers, the Chinese Company Sinohydro in charge of the project says they will recruit 1000 Cameroonians with 400 being of Chinese origin.

The future dam we are told will replace the Lagdo dam which is presently suffering from the dry season with huge difficulties. It is aimed to serve the three regions in Northern Cameroon. It is said to have a capacity of 75 MW.

The New dam will be financed through a 182 Billion CFA loan granted to the Cameroonian government by the International and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). In addition to the Bini dam, the construction of energy evacuation lines (70 km in 225 kv) and rural electrification lines (30 kv), as well as the rehabilitation and the construction of access roads to the site will be included in the hydro-electric Bini project in Warak.

God is still saying something.
