On Friday July 7th, 2017, the Social Democratic Front- SDF Parliamentarians have issued a joint statement calling for a special forum on the Anglophone Crisis before School Resumption in September. The document stipulated that preparatory meeting will take place on August 17th and 18th August against the enlarge forum. It should be noted that Hon. Wirba Joseph, the firebrand MP from Jakiri constituency is a signatory to the said document. Will this lead to a possible 3rd All Anglophone Conference? What difference will it make with the 1st and 2nd conferences held in the 93/94?

The document calls on President Paul Biya to convene a national dialogue forum on the Anglophone Crisis. BaretaNews recalls that an Anglophone Dialogue Forum was first mentioned by Consortium President Barrister Agbor Nkongho Balla in December 2016, then Munzu picked it over sometime in March 2017. Is it that ideas of Barrister Balla are being nicodemously being looked into while the regime still continues to keep him and others in jail?

It should be noted that since October 2017, schools and courts have been shut down in Southern Cameroons.

There has been calls from Catholic PTA and other quarters for school to resume. This is a developing story. BaretaNews shall bring more updates as it comes in

Wait for our analysis.

  1. Yes President Paul Biya should convene a national dialogue to dialog with who? When he has sent all our leaders in exile and others in prisons. instead the so called SDF parliamentarian should leave that foreign parliament and start thinking of the restoration of the state of southern Cameroon.

  2. SDF what? Who do they represent? They don’t get it, do they? What do they take us for? This is a ploy to fake a motion of support for a unitary state and appretiate the cosmetic plans of lrc. What is on their agenda?
