Fox News is reporting that their recent poll found that just one percent of African Americans support Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, got 85 percent of the African-American vote, while Gary Johnson got seven percent- Fox News reported.
Eboni Williams and Ashley Bell who joined on “Fox and Friends Weekend” to weigh in on what this poll might mean for the Trump campaign. Williams said that in order to get a larger percentage of the black vote, Trump needs to speak about the issues and concerns in the black community, particularly employment, economic plight and criminal justice reform. Bell agreed and added that Trump can begin turning around his numbers with African Americans by pointing out how Democratic policies have failed them over the years.
He pointed out that more African Americans were put in federal and state prisons under Bill Clinton than any president in U.S. history. “The Democrats have been getting a pass,” Bell stated. “The Clintons are the ones that created the criminal justice problems that we have in this country.”
Williams said that Trump doesn’t need to get a majority of the black vote to win the election, but he does need to prevent Hillary Clinton from getting such an overwhelming percentage of the black vote. “She has to have 93, 96 percent of that vote to be successful. And if he can do that, he can move the meter.”- Fox News concluded.
BaretaNews notes that based on Hillary’s records, she cannot win this election. Trump has everything possible to win Hillary on records. However, because of Trump sometimes lousy and controversial statements, he is becoming his own worst enemy and just because of this, Trump is letting Hillary win. If Trump could just become as Hillary and speak only on the issues that matter without letting fear and people seeing him as racist, bigot or whatever, he will win Hillary clean and clear.
