US President Donald Trump named political strategist Brad Parscale as campaign manager for his re-election in 2020. The digital content developer and web expert played a key role in Trump’s 2016 victory. He seems to have won the confidence of the Trump family.

The Trump campaign issued a statement, saying it planned on using Parscale’s talent to help Republicans in the midterm congressional elections in November as they face an uphill battle to hold control of Congress.

President Trump has already hinted his plans to run for re-election, he filed a letter of intent with the Federal Election Commission on the same day he took office, January 20, 2017. He was made it a habit of talking about his 2016 less-than-expected victory in stump speeches and interviews.

Brad Parscale was the digital director for the Trump Campaign in 2016, based in San Antonio, Texas. Had previously carried out digital duties for Trump’s businesses and the Trump Organization, even before his White House run.

Complimentary statements from President Trump’s son and son-in-law/special advisor respectively, Eric Trump and Jared Kushner accompanied the campaign statement put out. ”Brad is an amazing talent and was pivotal o our success in 2016. He has our family’s complete trust and is the perfect person to be at the helm of the campaign,” said Eric Trump.

Hoping to retain both chambers in Congress; House of Representatives and the Senate, Republicans face challenges. It’s quite usual for the party in control of the White House to lose seats in the first election after a new president steps in.

Addressing supporters at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday, President Trump urged conservative to not be ”complacent” during the midterm elections.
