Barely a week since the United Nations Security Council passed a resolution by all 15 members to impose fresh set of sanctions on North Korea for its nuclear weapons program, curbing oil supply to the country by 90%, placing an embargo on its exports and 24 months period for nations of the civilize world to exile North Korean workers from their territory, hoping to force the rogue regime to negotiating table by laying the groundwork for a strong economic pinch, not forgetting the dozens of others which hasn’t worked in the past, the US government has gone out of their way by lashing out at China, a major trading partner to North Korea.

US President Trump seized the opportunity on Twitter when he tweeted ” Caught RED HANDED – very disappointed that China is allowing oil to go into North Korea. There will never be a friendly solution to the North Korea problem if this continues to happen!” The Treasury Department released declassified satellite photos shot in October purporting Chinese oil vessel disembarking its cargo onto North Korean ships. A boat has now been seized by South Korea

The current American president has vowed to prevent North Koreans from developing a nuclear weapon. He sought the help Chinese leadership by hosting President Xi Jinping at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the first among his foreign heads-of-state he’s hosted, touted a friendly relationship with the Chinese statesman. Publicly acknowledged China’s assistance to rein in North Korea and its frequent ballistic missile launches throughout his presidency.

Several times, the new administration in Washington has insisted the time for ”strategic patience” with the Pyongyang regime is over. Should the Americans are willing to throw the mutually beneficial relationship they have with the Chinese by publicly shaming them, in order to get concessions, an accusation which is denied by Beijing, it is fair to say the Americans are finishing off the year by putting the ball on China’s court as they plan on rolling out their next plan of action. most likely a military one, come 2018.
