Palm Sunday Servces & Celebrations Banned in Ambazonia

While Christians all over the world, including La Republique du Cameroun (LRC) are celebrating Palm Sunday, today Sunday March 25, 2018, Christians across Ambazonia, shall not have the privilege and opportunity to do so. After all preparations have been put in place yesterday, the colonial agent of the Southern zone of Ambazonia, Bernard Okalai Bilai, in a late hour colonial press release, banned any form of movement or the circulation of persons, motorbikes and vehicles today in the Southern Zone of Ambazonia. The same is true with the colonial governor of the northern zone. The implication of this ban is that all Sunday Church Services for today are automatically banned. In fact, it is a ghost Sunday today, which actually started yesterday Saturday at 8pm following the colonial press release.

At press time this morning, many church leaders had already sent out texts and WhatsApp messages asking their congregants to stay at home and conduct family prayers for the Sunday.

This decision by the colonial administration is a challenge to all Christian faithfuls who have been praying for peace, to refocus their prayer requests to GOD. It is greed, arrogance and stubbornness that has caused the banning of Palm Sunday celebrations today. There can be no peace without justice. By now, Ambazonian men and women of GOD should know that the Freedom of Southern Cameroons/ Ambazonia, is an ABSOLUTE WILL OF GOD. No amount of prayers for peace can bring peace or stop this revolution. PRAY FOR JUSTICE, PRAY FOR RESTORATION OF AN INDEPENDENT AMBAZONIA. Only then can you see peace. This is the direction to pray now.

It is an act of injustice and an infringement on the right to Freedom of worship that, while Christians in LRC shall be going to churches today to celebrate a Christian feast like Palm Sunday, the day of Jesus Christ’s Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem, which marked the events leading to his crucifixion, Christians in Ambazonia are staying home because of a colonial administrative order.

Is Ambazonia the only land where senatorial elections are taking place today in the Cameroons?

It is crystal clear to the world that LRC and her proxies are desperate in getting the elections take place in Ambazonia against the wishes of the people. In an election where voting is limited to Municipal Councillors only, the fear of Restoration Forces and the fear of the unknown is generating confusion signals in the neurons of colonial agents.

If they can ban the holding of church services, and the movement of goods and persons during such an election meant only for Counselors, how do they intend to organize the parliamentary and presidential elections, which are based on universal suffrage?

In fact, colonial Okalai Bilai appears to have completely lost his colonial administrative senses. This very act is a justification to the world that Ambazonians are not interested in any elections that further binds them with the colonial regime of LRC.

Yesterday, municipal councillors in Fako County, were already being ferried in heavily guarded coastal buses to unknown destinations. They can do the hide and seek with the people, but so long as Senators emerge from today’s exercise, all councillors and those elected senators shall face the anger of the people.
