The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bamenda , Prof Akenji has called on the government of Cameroun to address the issues raised by the teachers Trade Unions because it is inextricably linked to the survival of the University. It should be recalled teachers across all schools in former British Southern Cameroons now Anglophone Cameroon are on strike due to a catalog of demands ( http://bareta.press/schools-anglophone-cameroon-shut/). She also condemns and refutes reports that Francophone students and teachers were being attacked by Anglophone students.

BaretaNews must confess this is one of the reports we have seen by a government institution which is void of somewhat political gimmicks. It is different in style, format, and intention from the sister the University of Buea by the Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Nalova Lyonga who called on students to resume lectures. In fact, from this statement, one could see a genuine intention to help solve things, not the one from Dr. NALOVA in UB which bullies students and lecturers.

On this note, Prof Akenji should be at least be praised and Dr. Nalova should be shamed.

The struggle continues.
God is still saying something.
