Parish Priest Says No School in his County
We are getting reports that Rev Fr Tobias WIRMUM, the parish priest of Shisong-kumbo Diocese has said no school in his area. Recalled that the Bishops had called for school resumption. The move by the priest is a show of defiance against his own bishop. The church is seemingly divided.
We are told this morning during the first mass after the catechist had announced that Catholic schools will resume school tomorrow August 7th, he (fr Tobias) took the microphone and stated vehemently that schools may resume elsewhere, but as for Shisong parish where he is the chief Shepherd, no school opens its doors till further notice, for they are not ready to go to war with anyone, as Jesus Christ didn’t bring solutions to the world through war*
We gathered all the Christians in church as if they were waiting for such, gave a spontaneous chorus of applause.
