Cameroon Hugo Bross Giving Locals A chance

Indomitable Lions head coach Hugo Bross yesterday published a list of 23 players for the Gambia and Gabon AFCON qualifier and friendly scheduled for the 3rd and 6th of September 2016 respectively.

BaretaNews took note of the strength of the selection. We noticed that there are four(4) locally based players in the selection and a lion share of the players selected are not from the top 4 European leagues. Team captains Mbia and Aboubaka are left out.

As we move through the selection, we ponder whether who will play for the junior categories as new young players have been added at the expense of old experienced hands who have been left out. It should be recalled that the 4 locally selected players are not from the current professional league 1 leaders

BaretaNews wonders if Cameroon should over-look players from Malaga( Kameni), Lyon (Nkoulou) Galatasaray (Chedjou), Porto, Lille etc for players in Denmark Division 2 ( Abang Anatole), French league 2, as well as players who are yet to kick the ball in a competitive club game since January (Ondoa Fabrice and Clinton Njie)

The matches will be played at the Limbe Omnisport Stadium

The List Includes:

  1. ONDOA Fabrice FC Séville
  1. ONANA André Ajax Amsterdam
