African Union On Southern Cameroons War Of Independence

BaretaNews is reporting that the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat has welcomed the initiative of dialogue in the Cameroons.

The AU Chairperson in the communique encourages all parties to engage in this path. The AU calls for a spirit of compromise with a view to reaching a political solution.

The AU said such compromise should put the national interest of the country above all other considerations. What do they mean by the interest of the country? What interest are they talking about? Dead on arrival, BaretaNews affirmed.

The AU Chairperson also reaffirms the African Union’s support for any initiative aimed at peace, stability and national reconciliation in Cameroon, and reiterates the Commission’s readiness to contribute to this. Yes, we agree with the AU. We need peace, stability and national reconciliation between both Cameroun and Ambazonia to ensure post-war stability in West Africa so that we can live side by side.

Independence or resistance forever. Ambazonians have concluded.

  1. By mentioning national interest, the AU is assuming a “ONE & INDISIVIBLE CAMEROON” , despite their knowlegde of a “union of two states”: what has the AU to say when it visits Yaounde monument Of REUNIFICATION of the two Cameroons?
