Buea: Family In Tears After Electric Pole Kills 16-year-old Daughter

A family in Buea, the capital of Ambazonia has been mourning the loss of their daughter who was killed by an electric pole.

Earlier on Sunday, May 01, 2022, torrential rain left tears on the faces of many a Buea dweller who was at Check Point around 8:00 pm.

The little girl, 16, form five student of Summerset Bilingual High School was selling groundnut when her breath was cut short owing to a heavy downpour.

A high tension electric pole which was near her business place, BaretaNews learned fell on her resulting in the death of the teenager.

For over 48 hours, relatives of the deceased have been wailing over the demise of the teenager whose name BaretaNews got as Bridget.

Inhabitants have blamed the electricity supplying company, ENEO for using cheap materials; a situation that has orchestrated the death of young and ambitious Bridget.
