Jean-Marc Afessi Mbafor is the President of the Cameroon National Youth Council, an outfit created by President Paul Biya to blindfold the Youth and Cameroons people that he cares for them. Mr. Mbafor has been accused by his own staff for misappropriating and Embezzling 80 Million CFA . This fund is related to the state grant and those granted by the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development.

The Cameroons newspaper Emergence edition of June 13, 2016, discloses that the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly of the National Youth Council of Cameroon (CNJC), held from 9 to 11 June 2016 “spilled much ink and saliva“. Employees of Jean-Marc Afessi Mbafor, the President of CNJC, went crazy , accusing him of embezzling for his personal interests the sum of 80 million CFA Francs.

The newspaper disclosed that Around 40 million CFA francs for the year 2014 and 40 million by the year 2015 were embezzled.

The newspaper narrated that on June 10, one of meeting days angry voices were elevated when the financial report for the year 2014-2015 was presented by the Treasurer. Members were about to pounce on the President as fight seemingly broke out.

However, Jean-Marc Afessi Mbafor when approached to respond to the allegations he said: “to the swirl of each other, that’s democracy.” For him, the CNJC uses the best way possible to managed funds and make accounts available. A source at the Ministry of Youth and Civic Education (MINJEC) reports that “CNJC had incurred the expenses worth 24 million FCFA in a week, so the MINJEC had to suspend accounts so that such expenses should be easily traced “. At present, we are told, a special commission has been set up to get to the crux of the matter.

BaretaNews notes that this is how Mr. Biya rules. He sets confusion from all sectors of national life, within all manner of persons with money, duplication of posts etc. One fails to see the role of the National Youth Council. What are they doing? What policies have they advocated that will benefit youth in the Cameroons? What are they doing with such huge sum of money? Mr. Biya government cannot boast of a single cabinet minister or directors, all are full with the corrupt octogenarian who thinks only about themselves. The Youth Council have no place within the Cameroons and it should be dissolved. It is another manipulation from Mr. Biya.

God is still saying something
