US ELECTIONS: SDF ENDORSES HILLARY CLINTON
The 2016 US Presidential elections have been so vicious and fierce between both candidates. This has been translated on the ground and social media between candidates and their supporters from both parties.
US Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump has received so much backlash from the media and establishment. He is generally viewed as the outsider candidate with no political experience.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate has been largely favoured by the media, the establishment and most government out of the US. The positions established by Trump most people say will take the US backward.
In a NEC resolution submitted to BaretaNews, Cameroon main opposition party, the SDF during the Saturday 5th November National Executive Committee meeting threw their support behind the Democratic Nominee Hillary Clinton and supports her as the President. The Resolution was signed by Ni John Fru Ndi, SDF National Chairman ( see picture attached).
BaretaNews think this is a wrong move from the opposition party. The main opposition party should not be picking sides with any presidential candidate considering the fact that any of them could win. The party should leave all doors open and be ready to work with any candidate. Supporting a particular candidate openly is already a strain in diplomatic relations should the other win. We have not seen the CPDM or president Paul Biya endorsing any candidate in any country. This is what we call wisdom. We expected the SDF as a party which seeks political power to understand these dynamics and instead after the election congratulates the victor as Paul Biya and other opposition and presidents elsewhere are doing. BaretaNews think based on this move, the SDF and Ni John Fru Ndi failed and should be condemned.
God is still saying something.
