The United States Ambassador to La Republique du Cameroun (LRC), Peter Henry Barlerin, is back in the colonial capital Yaoundé after a two-week vacation in his homeland – America. The diplomat left Yaoundé on May 22, 2018, hours after meeting with the colonial Minister of External Relations Lejeune Mbella Mbella, who queried him for making comments which they considered offensive to the bloody Biya regime, and tantamount to interference in the “internal affairs” of the colonial republic.
In a press statement after an audience with the colonial president of La Republique, Paul Biya on May 17, Ambassador Barlerin, had relayed President Trump’s best wishes to the chief colonial agent, as he prepared to preside over the fake National Unity day on May 20, 2018. He also lambasted the colonial regime for its atrocities against the annexed Ambazonian people, while equally suggesting to the octogenarian president, to start thinking of his legacy and how he intends to be remembered by history.
The Ambassador’s sudden departure after being bullied by the regime, led political pundits to make different analyses on the future of the Biya regime and diplomatic relations between Yaoundé and Washington. However, revelations from the U.S Embassy confirmed that the diplomat had gone for holidays to return on June 8, 2018.
But that wasn’t end.
While Mr. Barlerin was out of his duty country, the Machiavellian, terrorist, convoluted and gerontocratic oligarchy, launched a media war against him, with different regime sycophants making vituperative remarks against him on different media platforms. One Mr. Banda Kani, in a live political talk show on Afrique Media television, even promised to sent back the Ambassador to the U.S in a coffin.
Has the Ambassador therefore return to be killed?
Sources, say Ambassador Barlerin returned to Yaoundé last weekend, ready to face the death threats from the colonial regime. Though he (the Ambassador) has not been out for any public mission, he was last Saturday spotted at the Hilton Hotel, this time with extra security details, as compared to what those he used to move with before the threats.
The Biya regime is a bloody and evil regime, that will always want to go an extra mile to prove its political supremacy over its enemies. With the serious and open threats to the life of the US diplomat, of which the CIA should be very much aware, one may wonder why his country has allowed him to return to the so-called lion man’s terrain.
It may just be America’s last trap for the dying regime. Will the regime fall in the trap?
