Two French Cameroon soldiers and a local enabler have been killed by Ambazonia fighters in Donga-Mantung county of the Northern Zone. Reports say the three anti-Ambazonians were attacked in NKambe Saturday August 27, and killed on the spot. They included a soldier of the Rapid Intervention Unit (BIR), a gendarme, and a spy who was moving around on a bike with the two soldiers.
Troops from Bui Warrior Squad ambushed the bike and killed the three on the spot. The incident left other colonial soldiers on the run as they feared that a fresh attack could be launched by the Bui warriors.
Saturday’s attack also served as a warning to French Cameroon spies in Donga-Mantung who continue to feed colonial soldiers with vital information on the whereabout of Ambazonia fighters.
