Mitt Romney, the 2012 Republican nominee who ran against Obama and lost has said that he thinks Trump could win in November. Recalled that Romney has still not endorse Trump. He has been one of the fierce critics of Donald Trump.
Mitt Romney talking on the Radio Free GOD Podcast owned by Republican consultant Mike Murphy said “To be honest, it’s very possible in my view that Trump wins. I wouldn’t think it’d be by a landslide, but I think he could win”
Romney, however, continued and said he isn’t going to vote for either Trump or Clinton. He continues and said, he will look at Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein. However, if he doesn’t like either of them, he said, he may end up writing in another Republican.
After several months of bashing the unconventional GOP nominee, Romney went ahead to give Trump some credit. He said “You have to give Donald Trump credit, he was able to bring a rhetoric and a style that he had perfected over his career to the political sphere and connect with people and become the nominee. Despite the fact that I and a lot of other people thought he would not be an ideal nominee, he is. At this stage, it’s rougher going, but I can’t predict what’s gonna happen.”
Romney continues and said that he never really thought Trump would become the nominee, but believes that he was able to slip through without much scrutiny because of a large number of Republicans who were seeking the nomination.
This is typical of politicians. Republicans will, however, come around. BaretaNews will keep following the polls and updates.
God is still saying something.
