If we are still captives is not by La Republique Du Cameroun but by the effects and influence of the orientation forced on us. In what seems the worst experience under any form of slavery, the Southern Cameroonian has been systematically broken to become a weapon against his liberation and prosperity. But, how did we get here? Certainly not by aircraft or witchcraft but by a luxurious political craft that induces a feeling of comfort while preserving its victim in the most vulnerable state for perpetual exploitation.
Many have wondered why some Anglophones ( Southern Cameroonians) have unnatural affection for a luxurious lifestyle, unusual attachment to vanities and madness for pleasure. Some people try to imagine why, despite the gross human rights violations in unprecedented scale, some victims are willing to forget all these with the least distraction. And lastly, others have struggled to understand the Mormonite enchantment that keeps Southern Cameroonians so frugal or highly sensitive to money that, apart from merriment, they would hardly invest in adventures to free themselves.
La Republique Du Cameroun from the very inception knew her political claims on Southern Cameroons were controversial and could not escape the awakening forces of emancipation. Therefore it become expedient after the plebiscite vote to solicit foreign portfolio for the construction of an expanding, coherent and adoptive simulations to reconfigure the Southern Cameroons mindset. This unleashed a series of intensive and aggressive reforms to transform the landscape into a Unified Entity with a single Political Identity. To achieve this as a strategy, to consolidate her fragile holding over the acquired territory, every aspect of the Southern Cameroonian nationalism or distinction had to be obliterated as a matter of great national priority, political urgency, social preference and economic necessity.
Well, no State has succeeded on such a colossal undertaking without being autocratic, headed by a totalitarian or dictator and most importantly remaining loyal to the foreign powers on whose influence such a reality was to be constructed or made possible. Hence, Southern Cameroons is the fundamental reason for the system of government and brutish style of governance in the Cameroons. And also the principal commodity and unique fiber in the Franco-British-African Alliance. So, if former French colonies were required to furnish considerations to the French Treasury for political patronage, then La Republique Du Cameroun had to pay even more for the special attention and huge resources committed into this project, and as a mandatory gratitude for what now seems to be a profitable investment.
More importantly, a colonial contraption of this magnitude would not succeed without the minimum social cohesion exhibited in the character of the outcome, despite inherent political powers and a carefully designed administrative infrastructure. Consequently, the open and receptive cultures of Southern Cameroon provided an enabling constitution to breed gullible social animals with fallible political concepts and doctrines. The economic backbone of the decent means of survival enjoyed by relatively hardworking Southern Cameroonians plantation farmers were looted, rendered insolvent and liquidated to force the people to depend on the measures provided by the State of La Republique Du Cameroun.
