Members of Parliament (MPs), of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) political party, have vowed to disrupt all parliamentary sessions in the National Assembly of La Republique Du Cameroun (LRC), until a definitive solution is sought for the Anglophone crisis. In an unprecedented dramatic scene that unfolded this Thursday November 23 2017, some 12 out of 17 SDF MPs, seized the hemicycle and diverted all attentions to solving the Anglophone crisis.
Addressing the kangaroo parliament, the head of the SDF parliamentary group, Hon Joseph Banadzem, categorically stated that the members of the National Assembly could not pretend as though all is well in the country, and carry on business as usual, when citizens of Southern Cameroons are living in chaos. He told the MPs present that no parliamentary session would continue at the hemicycle if a concrete solution to the Anglophone crisis is not sorted.
“We cannot continue business as usual in this parliament when the two Anglophone regions are on fire. Therefore, we of the SDF have unanimously decided to perturb all activities in this hemicycle until a solution is sought of the Anglophone Crisis,” Hon Banadzem shouted.
He was quickly joined at the duck by the 11 other SDF MPs. While the House Speaker, Cavaye Yegue Gibril, tried to no avail to continue the session, the SDF MPs trumpet at the top of their voices, the theme song sung during the September 22, and October 1 2017 peaceful protest.
“Eh! They go kill we tire …3x
How many people Paul Biya go kill…?”
Things went so tense that the house speaker opted for a suspension of plenary at the national assembly. All attempts to convince the SDF MPs to abandon their stance so the plenary could resume, proved futile as the SDF MPs waved their peace plants and chanted different songs of peace.
Frustrated Cavaye Yegue Gibril left with no options, decided to superimpose his voice on that of the SDF MPs by reading the adoption of the 2016 settlement bill. He later joined the SDF in their chorus by mocking at the party in general.
Here him,
“Notre pays va bien… le SDF va mal.”
Sooner than later, All occupants of the hemicycle but the SDF MPs, quickly smuggled themselves out of parliament. The SDF MPs stood their grounds and told the MPs as they were leaving that, they should go and never come back because SDF will stay and disrupt all plenary sittings until a palpable solution is sought in the Anglophone crisis.
Meantime, the SDF MPs have released a three paged document indicating the condition sine qua non for proceedings to effectively resume at the LRC parliament. They are calling on their fellow MPs to join them in the dire quest to seek a lasting solution the ongoing crisis rocking Southern Cameroons.

My dear SDF parlamentarians thank you for that symbolic act. But that’s it. I can get the scent of hypocrisy with you. Why you still want to dialogue in a parliament which you don’t belong to? Why you never stayed home in your counties when the people called you do to? Is it the money LRC feeds you? It would have been a more powerful symbol if all would have followed Hon. Wirba example. Now I have that feeling that you are chased by our interim government. For the majority of us you MPs have lost already all credibility.
YOU ARE RIGHT. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A POLITICAL SURVIVAL. WE ARE GONE THEY CAN REMAIN WITH LA REPUBLIC IF THEY WANT.
We hail the courageous SDF MPs who braved the odds to challenge the occupier in their own territory. This is the time of history. Every little contributions count.
Hurray SDF!!
You have done us proud today. At least for once, you have rejuvenated the spirit and tell the world that LRC is a tyrant. We shall overcome.
Kudos to SDF
You couldn’t do it better Ni John and the SDF MPs. We are proud of you. Let it be told that the government of Paul Biya is on a mission to kill everyone in Southern Cameroons. Even as the world is talking about dialogue, LRC is adamant
We shall over come some day. I wish all those on the ground braving the odds consolidate the statehood of Ambazonia.
We shall soon be liberated for life
Shame to LRC. Even a blind man now sees that LRC doesn’t want to dialogue. They are on a genocidal mission.
The end justifies the means, we shall overcome
Let the SDF leave the kangaroo parliament and come back home.
We shall build a very vibrant parliament
I don’t know how often we shall call them to come home. Their place is Buea. They know it. What are they afraid of? God bless the Federal Republic of Ambazonia.
We Ambasonians told the SDF a long time ago to go start parliament in Buea – Ambasonia. You are terrorist and dogs in the eyes of Lrc. You have no place in that country and they WILL NEVER NEGOTIATE WITH YOU1. You are wasting your precious time in Yaounde thinking Lrc will listen! They will have gendarmes beat you up. Why did you go there in the first place? If they kill, maim, rape and incarcerate us in Ambasonia, they will surely treat you like animals in Yaounde. Come home to Buea unless you want to learn the hard way.
First the will negotiate (bribe) with you. Then they will intimidate you.
Then they will jail or kill you. WAKE UP SDF PARLAMENTARIANS OF AMBAZONIA. Join our interim government in the fight for independence.
This is a good step but you can be more drastic and decisive by simply saying bye bye lrc. I however respect your choice of how to play it.
Shame to LRC!!!
We the People of Southern Cameroons have resolved to consolidate our restored statehood. No going back.
No threats or intimation from LRC can scare us
How did the Israelites leave Egypt? That is the way Ambasonia has to leave Lrc. Egyptians eyes only got opened when they drowned in the RED SEA! SDF parliamentarians should walk out of Lrc TODAY!
Our grand master and hero Honorable Wirba all by him self on day one, at ground zero did thousand time more than this.
I smell something very, very fishy and I know something fishy is going on and I can see it.
This psychological bull-crap that THEY are trying to engineering is not going to work.
Just wait and see what is going to happen next, then think back on this particular event and you will see what THEY are in the process of engineering.
Non sense.
We wish the SDF MPs well as they pursue their objectives.
We all subscribe to the fact that we all can take different paths, but the most important thing is to arrive at the same destination..
SDF is just trading their own path.
Alluta continua…
We shall overcome sooner than later…
And when that time comes, we shall appreciate the efforts of all and sundry…
Kudos to the SDF MPs
