“But without faith, it is impossible to please him (God): for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews:11:6 Brethren it is a useless and wasted effort to pray if you don’t fully believe that every single word of prayer you utter has a spiritual implication. Every time you pray believe that you have been granted your request and it shall be done unto you. That’s how we operate in the kingdom. We believe before we behold. We should never adopt the doubting Thomas approach to life. No that will limit Gods hand in our lives.
My spiritual father shared a story with us. He went to the hospital to pray for one of our members who fell sick some time ago. He encouraged her, gave her some stuff and prayed powerful healing prayers with her, prophesied good health upon her life and everyone shouted Amen! Immediately after the prayers before my daddy could leave, the lady’s phone rang, the caller asked her how she is doing, and her response was “I’m dying oh, there’s no hope”. That’s a ” believer” who just prayed in “faith” about her situation declaring NO HOPE. Really? Have you ever asked yourself why you pray?
The bible says when we pray in Jesus name, we should believe that we have received and it shall be done unto us. Jesus said all we need is faith as small as a mustard seed. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things unseen. What this lady indirectly said was that she has no faith. She canceled all the powerful prayers in a split second, so why did she waste her time praying in the first place? See sometimes prayers are not answered spontaneously as we expect. That’s why the bible says we should learn patience after doing Gods will that we may receive from him. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Consciously ask yourself today, why do you pray? To fulfill all righteousness? Or do you believe when you pray, if not please stop wasting your time praying.
Prayers are not answered by accident, tombola or loto draw, only prayers accompanied by faith are worth the stress. The promises of God are real and true, believe it and see it happen. Resolve to pray more consciously today and let’s share your testimony tomorrow. The best way to pray in faith is to relate with God as though you can see, touch, and hear him, make him you friend, your close companion, your “kongossa” mate, yes the one you kongossa all your affairs to. You will not believe how attached people are to their kongossa mates, running to them minute by minute to drop the latest gist. Be like Daddy please sit and let’s reason together (God actually ask us to come reason with him in Isaiah 1:18), this is the situation, show me the way about it and I will give you all the glory. Testimonies beget testimonies.
Some people have discovered this and are flourishing in grace. My friend used to say “Cham, if you see how God is blessing people out there, you will wonder if He is the same God we serve” and I will say yes, He is, Unchangeable. I pray for you as I pray for myself, that we shall henceforth pray with far more faith consciousness than ever and God will prove himself mighty in our Lives in Jesus Name
