Nigeria Conspires With LRC To Thwart SDF’s Goodwill Gesture On Ambazonian Refugees, IDPs

The Nigerian government has mounted a stonewall over the efforts of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Party in reaching out to Ambazonian refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP). According to information, they are doing so in conspiracy with La Republique du Cameroun (LRC).

This information was made known to BaretaNews by the Chairman of the SDF party, Ni John Fru Ndi. He was speaking on the side-lines of SDF’s frustrations in reaching out to Ambazonians in need, amidst their inability to obtain a permit so they can go to the bushes.

According to Ni John Fru Ndi, the SDF party since last 2017, has been mobilising support from its members and well-wishers. The support that amounted to more than 50 million, can finally not reach its destination because Nigeria and Cameroon are playing dangerous pranks over the misery of Ambazonians.

“It is really unfortunate that after acquiring all these food stuff and other perishable materials for the (Ambazonian) refugees, we cannot get the required permission to visit their camps. We tried in vain, to secure a permit to visit the refugees in Nigeria, but the Nigeria Consulate used the pretends that where the refugees are in Taraba state, it is risky for us to go, due to the prevailing situation between the Fulani headsmen, and farmers. But I can say here for certainty that the Nigeria government is playing pranks. They want the Biya government to go first, so they can take all the political glory. But we cannot be politicizing things that have to do with the lives of people. It’s such a shame,” the SDF Chairman said.

Quizzed on why the SDF has not been able to visit the IDPs around bushes in the Ambazonian soil, the SDF chairman said LRC military could a pose a problem to his convoy. That according to him, is the reason why he is seeking for a formal authorization from the CameroUnese government.

“The Ambazonia forces are no problem to me. Instead, it is the LRC forces. I am seeking a formal authorization from them so that I could be put under protective detention. Hence, if anything happens to me, they will be held responsible,” John Fru Ndi added.

It should be noted that, the SDF party has been advocating for the release of all Ambazonians arrested by LRC forces. The party has also been advocating for a sincere and inclusive dialogue to be held so that this restive crisis can end, while pushing the agenda for a return to decentralisation for the two Cameroons.
