On June 7th, 2017 Southern Cameroons activists were in court on trump up charges from the Biya regime. The appearance of Mancho Bibixy took Southern Cameroonians by storm. Many wept and were furious as Mancho appeared handcuffed, barefooted, empty chest and looks shabby- a vast contrast to how he usually appears in court.
BaretaNews managed to ask a friend who recently visited Mancho in jail about an inside of his mind. Speaking to the friend who visited him, he wrote down the following:
Court Appearance:
Mancho justified his shabby appearance in court as a sign of the hunger strike they were going through. He asked those who cried and were mad because of his appearance to be strong for he has no regrets. It was not meant to provoke tears but action from our people. He stated that he was not in prison to entertain anyone with nice dresses. That he is planing to appear naked next time. He said he knew the consequence of being arrested but stayed on.
Arrest:
He went on to say that his close friends forbah Jude and pitere chu pressured him to escape but he refused. That after the arrest of Balla and fontem even goverment officials called him to escape but he refused. He was ready to stay and be arrested- Mancho narrated. He said he is not afraid to die BC his death will spark a thirst for freedom amongst his people. About the GCE he said he is also a history teacher n has not taught since Nov n his two schools HV remained locked since Nov n he is in prison with 3 of his evening sch students who are to write the exams.
Death:
I am not afraid to die because my death will spark a thirst for freedom amongst my people- Mancho said as he looks bitterly with a red eye to this visitor.
Political GCE:
Concerning the organization of the fake GCE Mancho revealed that he is also a history teacher and off course he stopped teaching since since November until his arrest and that two of the schools he taught has remained locked . I am now in jail with with 3 of my evening school students who were to write the exams- Mancho narrated.
Jail Conditions:
The friend went on to ask about the difficulties they faced in jail. Mancho complained of overcrowding, no water, hot temperatures, illnesses and legalized corruption.
Court Case:
About the court case he said there is no case. He refused to explain but reported there is no case. He asked if Kenya can arrest Nigerians and come to judge them in Kenya?
Feeding:
In regards feeding he said they eat once a day and the food is provided by contributions from anglophones . Presently our food is almost finished- Mancho narrated. that he rejected several offers from LA republic. He swore to die poor or die in prison than touch blood stained evil money from such a terrorist regime.he describes LA republic as an animal that eats its own children.
Negotiations and Offers:
Asked if any negotiations have been proposed he said negotiations have ended.its either freedom for us or total elimination of us all.

Mancho went on to describe La Republique as an animal that eats its own children. Asked if any negotiations have been proposed he said negotiations have ended. Its either freedom for us or total elimination of us all.
Family:
On his family situation, he said he was the sole bread winner for a family of 9 and he doesn’t know how they eat especially that 4 of the 9 are below 7yrs. He said they must learn to suffer as the coming days may even be more difficult.I did not ask his permission b4 publishing this but thought its good to share.I’ve never seen a young man full of courage n determination.
