Fako SDO to Fako Chiefs: Prepare your subjects for 20th May or get replaced.

A Fako chief who begged not to be named just called BaretaNews with the following information. He is so sad and furious and seemingly helpless.

The SDO of Fako Zang III had a meeting this afternoon with Fako Chiefs. He is forcing the chiefs to mobilize their subjects to come and March on 20th May else they will be replaced by other individuals as chiefs. Zang says this is an order.

Zang went further to say the chiefs must prepare placards to show that their villages answered present. He said they must came along with 100 men each depending on the size of the village.

Colonial Zang went further to say if they don’t do that they will be removed from their functions as chiefs and there is nothing they can do.This meeting took place at the DO’s office in Buea.

It is embarrassing to know our chiefs can be ridiculed this way. Custodians of the land. It’s an abomination. I, Mark Bareta while talking with the chief who looked bittered and devastated advised him to rise above this threat. Marching on a fake day if at all it was even genuine is not by force. No one celebrates a national day under threats. It should be a free will thing.

That said, we are calling on the People of Fako to resist these colonial administrators. Remember the great Bakweri resistance. Yes, you can do this. Stand by your conscience and boycott this day. Don’t let the colonial officers threatened your chiefs. Boycott and see what they will do. Shame them.

Please share so that it reaches all Fako Denizens.

  1. We get you SDO. Then you will beg to get treated by honey bees. To the chief. Whom you fear? This coward SDO idiot or your own people.

    NO 20th OF MAY CELEBRATION

  2. Colonial master Zang III, take your nasty self to your village and command your chiefs there, no celebration in our nation.
Change the chiefs and let see what will happen. The people are in control not the chiefs.

You have greetings for the ghost, idiot.

  3. We are not the same people.

It really hurts when you try to buy a post card in our country, only to find out that none available is from our beloved Ambazonia. We cannot purchase post cards with pictures and memories from a foreign country, LRC and it culture as depicted by bamileke, fulbe, bassa, ewondo, douala and bertoua people. Really painful!

    1. The Fako chiefs sold thier dignity to the colonials in the first place. They were the ones who made southern Cameroonians look fools during this struggle. so let them pay the price. if i were the SDO i will ask more than that.

      1. Well said Sergeo. These fools called chiefs have always been sellouts and always will be sellouts. If we West Cameroonians continue to look at these chiefs and fons like some small gods who can lead us to our ultimate freedom from la republic, we are fooling ourselves. True leaders of the people must be chosen by the people and not some automatically appointed person just simply from the fact that the father or whoever of his use to be a chief or a fon. Many at times, they are not people of not even fit to bring success to their people. Scrap the concept of chief and fon. It is a fake concept brought about by our uneducated fore parents

  4. That is why cowardice is not good in a struggle such as the one ongoing against la Republique du Cameroun. Fako chiefs should learn to be men of steel and call the colonial SDO Zang’s bluff and not match! No threat or intimidation should cowered Southern Cameroonians into celebrating their bondage and servitude, because that is what May 20, is all about!

  5. Our future is our country. Please to all SC out there, how long can we keep up with this, leaving in fear and itimidation. Our country is our future. We have to fight this independence for our children and grand children else are generations shall forever remain slaves.
Even till death, we keep this fight to independence, afterall, this is how most countries received theirs.
    God bless Southern Cameroon

  6. SDO of Fako Zang’s threats to have Fako chiefs replaced if they do not mobilze their subjects to march on May 20, should not be any excuse for the chiefs to give in to black mail. Those threats are attempts to black mail the chiefs, and they and their subjects must see them for what they are and stay home. If they give in and march on May 20, they will be opening themselves up to further black mail in the near future, and they will have only themselves to blame. They must stand up to a vacuous bully. But even if they are replaced; so what? Will that be the end of their lives and livelihoods?A word to the wise is enough!

  7. SDO of Fako Zang. GOD PUNISHED YOU AND THAT YOUR BIYA MAN. AS I AM TALKING ,YOU ARE UNDER A SERIOUS CURSE WITH YOUR FAMILY,

  8. Ah!quite a huge disgrace on our once honoured natural institution. Let the chiefs stand high above this ridiculous incident from the colonialists. But one thing remains abundantly clear. All Fako chiefs are land grabbers, thief’s who have sold all Fako land surrendered by the CDC.They all deserve public flogging…
