This is no longer a question of demonstrating on some streets or in front of some buildings. This is no longer a question of just shutting down our businesses in the hope that the enemy feels hurt and leaves us alone. This is no longer a question of writing to some international organization we believe will step in and put pressure on the oppressor to back off. We have gone past petitioning time. We are no longer seeking an identity. Neither are we still seeking media attention. We have gone past all these stages. We are at war now. We need new tactics. Old tactics will only yield old results that we already know. We need new results.

Few days ago when I woke up to the shocking news of the arrest of our government officials and the calls for worldwide demonstrations to press for their release, I couldn’t help thinking back when leaders of the then Consortium were arrested. We are recycling. Yes indeed we have gone round to where we started. We now know the path so well that we even know what to skip. To get new results we must put new tactics in place.

At a glimpse it seems as if all means have been exhausted but looking closer there is a lot that can still be done especially building on some few things that have really hurt the occupier so far and leaving things that hurt us more. By focusing, we can put our limited resources where we expect the highest returns.

1. Attack is the best self-defense.
2.Surprise attacks are the most successful. The most successful raids in war history were surprise attacks.
3.For the best surprise effect: Target soft enemy areas, be sporadic and attack during harsh weather conditions.
4.In the kind of warfare we are in, hostages serve as better bargaining chips than corpses. So don’t kill if you can possibly take hostage. One thing the enemy has never felt is the feeling of having a loved one captured and kept in a place unknown.

6.Economic blockade. Stop feeding and fueling the enemy fighting us!
7. Spy deep into the enemy’s camp.

9.Remember administrators control armed forces. Hence one administrator = a whole contingent of armed forces. If the target is an administrator the effect is greater than if it is the military. A soldier down leads to rage and vengeance from colleagues. An administrator down leads to sympathy for the loss and a scared replacement.
