CDC Bota

As we prepare for the CDC Bota massive protest on Friday, 15th July in Limbe, it is important for us to provide Cameroonians with updates.

1- This protest is intended to take a collective stand against corruption in Cameroon, the review of government intention to transfer the CDC Head Office from Limbe-Victoria to Yaounde, and inhumane laws (penal code) recently adopted by parliament, and the need for effective decentralisation in Cameroon.

2- We have already sent a letter to President Paul Biya C/O the Prime Minister which was deposited at the Prime Minister’s office in hard copy. The Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization was also copied. The Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi of SDF has been copied as well, and another copy will be sent to the SDF Regional Coordinator in Limbe. Most diplomatic relations were also copied and their copies have been dispatched already. The GM of CDC Bota has been copied, the Senior Citizen of the Fako land, Honorable Senator Peter Mafany Musonge was also copied, and the copies of the other senators and MPs from the SW is underway. CONAC has been copied, together with some main religious personalities and institutions.

3- We want to also inform Cameroonians that we will be expecting a positive response from the SDO given the fact that we have also applied for authorisation to protest.

4- we also received a call from the office of the SDO on Thursday, 7th July at 11:24am, requesting for a meeting with Prince Ekosso the next day, Friday, 8th July at 11:00am. Unfortunately, Prince Ekosso could not be in Limbe the next day for personal reasons and given the fact that Prince Ekosso lives in Yaounde.

5- This protest is a peaceful sit-down protest. Therefore, everyone joining this protest should not carry out any vandalism on anyone or any property. Any act of vandalism will be imputed on the individual who commits any act of vandalism.

6- The march will begin at 10:00am from the entrance to the Botanical Gardens to the CDC Bota Head Office where we shall pray and sing the National anthem, and make our declarations under the guidance of forces of law and order. After that, we will sing the National Anthem, and that will be the end of the protest.

7- Put on a red T.Shirt or anything red. But if you do not have a Red T. Shirts, that should not discourage you from attending the manifestation. This is about our nation, and not about an individual. More importantly, come with the National Flag in your hands.

Therefore, we are seeking volunteers who will move from house to house, mobilizing the people to come out in the numbers on Friday, 15th July 2016 in Limbe. If you desire to volunteer, please, kindly reach us through this number 675514817/695859721 or write to us via email: infousdpfiles@gmail.com OR, you can still leave your contact here and we will reach you soonest.

Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless Cameroon.
