Cameroun-Ambazonia Conflict: UN, AU Should Not Impose Superficial Solutions To Southern Cameroons-UN Somalia Envoy

Jerry John Rawlings, born 22 June 1947, former head of state and president of Ghana has called on the UN, AU and France not to impose superficial solutions to the current conflict rocking the Cameroons. Rawlings was speaking today during the GUBA 2018 awards in Britain. It should be noted that the Ghana UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards is an annual awards ceremony based in Britain which recognises the “hugely significant” contribution that British-Ghanaians make to society. Addressing the large turn out in Britain Rawlings had this to say:

….”In Cameroon for instance; a twin nation of two former UN trust territories that had enjoyed a semblance of peace for 57 years since 1961 but is currently deteriorating rapidly into a place of full scale conflict. I will urge the UN and AU to look into Cameroon’s case because we cannot impose superficial solutions on the English speaking half of the country. I will also urge France and President Macron to be seen as part of the solution to salvage the situation and restore justice and equity to that part of the country. Mankind has had enough of its bloodshed over natural resources which should rather benefit their lives!”…… watch entire video

But first, who is JJ Rawlings? According to Wikipedia, he initially came to power in Ghana as a flight lieutenant of the Ghana Air Force following a coup d’état in 1979 and, after initially handing power over to a civilian government, took back control of the country on 31 December 1981 as the Chairman of the Provisional National Defence Council. In 1992, Rawlings resigned from the Armed Forces, founded the National Democratic Congress and became the first President of the Fourth Republic. He was re-elected in 1996 for a further four years. He currently serves as the African Union envoy to Somalia.

The Southern Cameroons were a British Trust Territory, and currently under annexation by La Republique Du Cameroun. Since 2016, it has been involved in a deadly war with thousands of civilian lives lost, houses destroyed, refugees in Nigeria as well as internally displaced persons. Several countries, including the United Stations have requested dialogue based on the root causes of the conflict, a request which President Paul Biya of Cameroun has refused and instead declared war to the people of Southern Cameroons.

The statement from President Rawlings has in it lots of interpretation. He is aware of the unique status of Southern Cameroons. He is aware of the root causes of this conflict. He is aware that any solution that does not restore the rights of self determination to  the people of Southern Cameroons is as superficial as the word itself and will not restore the so-called semblance of peace as President Rawlings rightly said.

BaretaNews is aware that President Rawlings is sending a message in the most diplomatic ways, for a former President and present UN envoy to Somalia to address the Cameroons war during the event in Britain means a lot to the people of Southern Cameroons. We hope the world is watching to take adequate solutions.

As someone who has closely followed events relating to former Ghanaian present Jerry Rawlings, I take great solace at his utterances about the Ambazonians problem today. Let the Beti/Bull/Ewondo mafia headed by their blood sucker french slave call Biya continue to wallow in their demented way of thought. Ambazonia is gone!!!

President Rawling talks while biya continues his genocide in Ambazonia!!!

President Jerry Rawlings understands the injustice perpetrated on a peaceful people, THE British Southern Cameroons, Ambazonians by lrc, a former french colony. The recolonization of Ambazonia by la republique du cameroun cannot be accepted in Africa and the world today. biya will continue to wallow in his excrement until the root cause of this issue is corrected once and for all. The more the delay, the more Ambazonians are killed each day that goes by. President Jerry Rawlings should send shock waves to the AU and UN now to act immediately as biya continues his genocide on the innocent people of Ambazonia. The British Southern Cameroon, Ambazonia has never and will never be part of french Cameroun. The AU, UN, France and Britain should right the wrongs on the PEOPLE OF AMBAZONIA!

biya is killing and will continue to kill poor Ambazonians over oil in Ambazonia land. biya thinks he owns all natural resources in the State of Ambazonia, a country he has no union treaty with. We are determined to stop biya no matter how long it takes and how many of us he kills. We will RESIST until the last one of us is killed since the UN, AU and france continue to look the other way. SHAME TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY!!!

Mr atem, the art of communication is that u understand wat the other person said regardless his grammatical errors. So u got my point n that was my goal. Instead of eschewing shallowness and abject stupidity, LRC trolls only obfuscate and wallow in it. Now we can appreciate that some people are really operating under a curse.

No food to lrc, all food to Nigeria, defend the Nigeria/Ambazonia border. Nigeria 200 million people a bigger more vibrant English speaking country. Lrc shit hole French slave republic.

You can rejoice all you want about exterminating the RED DRAGONS but the truth still remains the truth, that you and lrc have no place and will never be accepted in Ambazonia. You remain criminals in Ambazonia regardless. You have plundered, killed, maimed and incarcerated peaceful innocent men, women and children and still remain proud of your atrocities. All evil committed in Ambaland by lrc will haunt you fomun, and your descendants beyond your graves. You shall have no peace here and beyond. THERE WILL SOON BE NO LRC TO THINK OF HER ‘FAKE INDIVISIBLE MANTRA’!!!

He is a single person, an individual but this single act of his is more than what the UN, EU, CW, OAU, Amnesty, Human right watch and western nation have said and done.

It really makes me feel proud to see an African stand firm on issues concerning us Africans for that is not easy in this damage, corrupt, sick world of today.

Even the US, did not have the courage to come out this clear.

Thank you, sir Jerry John Rawlings.
You make us Africans feel proud, there is still hope and we are not going to allow devils take our humanity away. That will be a sin to the God Almighty that we come from.
